From the Independent's review of the final day:

'This year, Reading hosted a dance stage for first time'

'Another notable debut came from Azealia Banks'

The 3/5 for the Sunday from the Telegraph was pretty bullshit too, they said Biffy were like Spinal Tap without the humour. Then again, I suppose Reading isn't really the sort of place you'd see the average Telegraph reader or writer...

Tbh I am not surprised I thought the crowd was full of absolute idiots on the Sunday at Leeds. I have Been to 5 Leeds festivals and never known it to be so bad. The crowd around me during foals who were obviously waiting for c&s/em were horrendous we had to move about 3 times to get away from them.

1 group were talking/shouting all the way through and taking pics of themselves in fancy dress.

1 group were picking mud up off the floor and throwing it over people some of which hit a really friendly looking couple with a young child

1 group was throwing piss

On top of this the amount of people walking around without their tops on staring at people and trying to intimidate them was ridiculous. I watched half of tame impala and went home early. No chance was I going to stand in that crowd to watch c&s and eminem.

It's put me off going back to Leeds really which is a shame.

Am I the only one on these forums who watched Filter? I would have thought with all the alt-90s-rock love and NIN in particular SOMEONE ELSE would have known and cared about them?

I thought they absolutely stormed it, set of the weekend in my eyes and I'm desperate to see them do a UK tour. I was right at the front and centre for them having been about 2 rows back for ASIWYFA and it was astounding, shocked me quite how good they were.

Absolutely shocking. I remember on here last year people were saying that Leeds 2012 was the best one yet in terms of atmosphere and there was fewer dickheads. But it seems to have regressed a lot this year. Torching cars FFS. What actually possesses people to do such a thing? I thought that kind of thing had been left behind at Temple Newsam.

I didn't see too much trouble on the Sunday to be honest. Maybe it was just where I was mind you. Watched Eminem in peace, only bad thing that happened was a presumably wasted girl running full pelt into me for no apparent reason, apart from that it seemed people were just enjoying themselves.

I thought it was better than I anticipated for atmosphere. I thought there'd be more dickheads, but then again I probably just stay away from it. I camped in Green and it was nice and chilled.

That car thing is disgusting though. If it was in fact idiots and not a technical fault then it's totally put me off bringing the car next year, and therefore not going at all. I'm done with camping and going to start looking at hotels or maybe even just a day next year.

That says more about the lineup than anything else though, this year was awesome for me. It probably won't get better, so everything from here on out is a let down.

Atmosphere around us in Blue Valley - Red border was very relaxed. Everyone very sociable and no real bad behaviour apart from a couple of tent fires and on bloke running round with an air bed and sprinting at uninhabited tents full pelt using the air bed as a battering ram - looked hilarious. We also started a war with the Scousers camped next to us which started with a barrage of marshmallows before moving onto cans and heavier stuff. No one got hurt though and it was good to bring the Merseyside - Manchester rivalry to West Yorkshire
