I can't believe they'd plan it so Filter and NIN would overlap at all. I can't imagine there being anyone watching Filter who wouldn't want to catch all of NIN.

But yeah, Filter were on serious form. I urge every fan of NIN here to check them out if they tour (but not until I've sorted my tickets out :P)

they shouldn't have overlapped, but because they were running late early in the day, Hacktivist came on about 15 minutes late, and I'm sure by the time ASIWYFA came on they were getting closer to being 20/25 minutes late!

If they tour I might try for tickets, recently got my mate into NIN, Editors, Biffy etc. so I'll try him with some Filter :P Shame he didn't come to Leeds with me :(

Alt-J were great to be honest! They do put on a great live show - it was just nice to end Saturday on a chilled note after a hectic Friday! The crowd were awesome though, didn't quite fill out the tent (I was in the middle roughly) but everyone was singing along and dancing, it was nice :)

I've liked all the stuff I've listened to! I've listened to them quite a bit but I don't think I took it all in much because I was getting too excited for everyone else :P The only tracks I can think of off the top of my head that I really like are Hey Man Nice Shot and and We Hate It When You Get What You Want though

I think the Lock up tent was much fuller than last year despite many feeling beforehand that the line up was poorer than last year(myself included).Loved The Bronx and King Prawn, Tomahawk were great as headliners.

Maybe it was the fact that it was on earlier and the headliner didn't clash with the mainstage headliner.

Rock tent seemed to work too.good performances from ASIWYFA,Filter and FFAF.(did enter shikari have a big crowd?).

Anyone see Uncle Acid and the deadbeats? they were brilliant and a lot of casual fans wondered in and left impressed.

The new album is really good.May even go as far as to say that new fans should start with the new album and the compilation that was released about 5 years ago(called 'the best things' I think?) and that should give a good overview of band.

The only thing I disagree with is that I don't like Take a picture. Its everyones favourite Filter song but I skip it every time.

I'm going to do my short review of the weekend's music i saw starting with Friday. In all honesty its so i can start to remember all I saw and recount how good the weekend was! I'm shit at this kind of thing so i apologize in advance. please get involved and do you review too!!

Friday

So Friday morning started with a bang for me with Duologue who i hadn't heard of until a few days before Leeds, they were nice to chill too and have a nice dance (been drinking since 7am so i was loving it.) then I moved onto We Are The In Crowd who were a proper let down, they reminded me of a Band that a main character from the Disney channel in the 90's would create an American Pop Rock band who talked far too much. however undetured I stayed through it all to wait for Hadouken, who I believe are one of the best live bands out there.

They didn't disappoint at all despite my doubts they could do it on the main stage and really got the crowd going, My first mosh pits of the weekend and a brilliant atmosphere to be around.

Next was AlunaGeorge who for me disappointed massively, they had the most static crowd i have ever seen and I left early for the only time all weekend!! Editors, HAIM and FOB all impressed me with the sets and crowd (im a big fan of all three) but then as it got dark the real Friday music started. Disclosure had the tent rammed and the crowd going mental I came away from that set speechless! I then quickly moved to Dog Is Dead on the introducing stage who had a nice upbeat set with quite a large crowd, possibly the most fun i had all friday in all honesty! To finish the day was Biffy, who worked the crowd like magic, they really are an amazing live band!

Friday was brilliant :D
