2013 Headliners

It gets to the point where the nostalgia wears off...

I think they are a good band, but they don't need to play, anyone that wanted to see them at festivals, has.

I've changed my predictions now.

If the stones aren't playing.

Arctic Monkeys - Fleetwood Mac - Gaga

Noel Gallagher - Mumford & Sons - Pixies (Or maybe Plan B depending).

Sounds like a fun shout.

I've only peiced that together from rumours and The T in the park romance glastonbury has!

I really don't agree with any arguments saying they should play because it's a "interesting headliner". It was good for bestival, didn't work for reading. I don't think they are going to booked anyway, nothing says they will, can't see the eavis's wanting them. They're not playing.

Does Bob Dylan not warrant a headline slot? I mean this is no mere mortal, this is Bob. Fucking. Dylan. You gents know that, yes? Look at the toss that gets fourth, shit, look at the toss that gets sub.

doesn't Dylan usually stick to piano / keyboard these days? can't remember where it was but i remember somebody saying he was on keyboard for an entire set with a guitar teasingly sitting at the front of the stage. he got up, picked it up to applause from the crowd, and then shook his head and returned to the keyboard. that old git

Dylan's still worth seeing live as long as your expectations are adjusted accordingly.

This is fine at his own gigs in smaller venues with a fanbase who can discern the golden moments from the frequent chaff.

A different game at a festival though. Maybe as a headliner on the Other Stage, but not for a mainstream slot at prime time.

Bob Dylan is fucking terrible live, absolutely w*nk, worse performance I've ever seen. Went to hop farm this year, lots of people very excited (including me even though i've only read negative stuff about his live stuff now), people were heading in there 1000s to primal scream after a handful of songs. Just retire bob, whilst you still have an ounce of credibility. A televised glasto performance would be a disastrous
