I'm going to be careful how I phrase this. But I've figured out a little about the Glastonbury CMS, and can say with reasonable confidence - if the poster had been both: a. uploaded b. left publicly visible Then I would have found it. That's regardless of whether it had an obfuscated name or not, and regardless of whether it was linked from somewhere. So either it's not up yet, or it's been hidden/restricted. I'm leaning towards the latter being correct, but only with like 60% confidence. As somewhat proof of this - I will say that they uploaded this a couple days ago, which I like to think is a (not so) subtle message to people like me. I don't think you'll find that page linked from anything public.9 points

As far as I know, no announecemt this week because they are closing a medium/big name for Sunday in order to sell the big quantity of Sunday daytickets remaining. All eforts in the last names booking are being done for Sunday even fighting with minor festivals like Lokerse, Alcatraz or Brakrock in order to book some bands that decide to tour in the last minute. I think that once that this name will be closed they will do a big announcement. But things are changing so fast in PKP HQ since the surprising amount sold in the 1st 24 hours, so let's wait.5 points

Just been chatting to a member of confidence man. Friday 3pm on the other stage and they said announcement is tomorrow 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌4 points

Yeah, I'm on both. Discord is more conversational, can be difficult to catch up on anything if you've been away for a bit. Easier to cover separate topics here but that's basically just down to the difference in formats. People on both slag off people on the other. Which is a bit odd when we can all agree the real enemy are the Facebook groups.4 points

I friend of mine does PR for Dua Lipa & Shania Twain. Says both announced on poster at 8am tomorrow3 points

Totally agree about new accounts setup to draw people away but in the context of general conversation you should be careful not to get too China pretending the outside world doesn't exist - no one likes censorship and as well as making you look threatened, it's off putting to users too. I'm sure new ownership agrees hence why the name of the other place isn't censored any longer.3 points

Me : OK so it looks like the lineup won’t be coming today. Also me : I will just keep this page open anyway and refresh it constantly, and keep checking Twitter and the Glastonbury website ….3 points

Magical wasn't it. The best close possible to what was probably my favourite ever Glasto weekend.2 points

Prodigy are at Lokerse, Libertines at Dour. LG or New Order would be good for me, not sure how many tickets they'd shift though.2 points

There never wasz just that this place was not a free publicity platform. it would be rude for Sainsbury's to put fliers all round tescos you don't go in a pub and expect the landlord from next pub to be encouraged to tell the punters "come drink at my place"2 points

unlike other sites this is a business belonging to someone who's paid a purchase fee , so its interests of the site to retain users . so posts clearly selling alternatives will be removed and new accounts setup to do such deleted ( as has happened recently ) mentions of other sites is fine but this site stands on its own 2 feet . The thread topic is announcements relating to the festival so if anyone has any further related questions to this then please DM me , we arent here to discuss other sites2 points

Ditto. I don't really get the hate. Their first 3 albums were solid IMO. And in an ocean of po-faced indie guitar clones at the time, they stood out for writing good pop songs using melody and keyboards. Some great tunes in their back catalogue. If they play, I'll be there, (badly) singing at the top of my lungs.2 points

Exactly that. Everyone likes talking about festivals, I find the whole you can’t talk about the other a little odd. If I saw something on Twitter surely you can mention it, or saw it on Reddit/Facebook etc.. All in it for the same reason, trying to get info about something we love as early as possible2 points

I get they've had a resurgence for some reason - I'm just saying we shouldn't encourage it.2 points

I had a look on the Discord site and it was good to see a few of the familiar names posting but I found it so viewer unfriendly I quickly left. far easier to follow chats on this forum, well it is for me anyway!2 points

Just got back to Europe from following them around their tour down under - they really are on the form of their lives right now. Setlists are getting mixed up and they just seem to be having so much fun at each show. As somebody who was also disappointed in the 2017 performance, I really expect their slot this summer to go down a lot better - I'd anticipate there's less casuals at the set and the live stuff has just gone up a few notches since then. In particular Eucalyptus, About Today, Smoke Detector, November and Vanderlyle have been so good live on the NZ/Oz tour. High Violet on Sunday was a superb way to finish the tour (and kinda weird to hear Vanderlyle not just sung along by the crowd!).2 points

The National just played High Violet in full in Australia. Imagine if the Ciutat Wednesday gets that too.2 points

You know I know nothing really. Also worth pointing out they normally put Other Stage too, not just Other.1 point

Well it appears that I will be back working on the farm again this year. Which is nice1 point

because if there is anything worse then having 2 EDM acts as headliners, it is having 2 EDM acts as headliners and 2 rap acts as headliners, both of which are relatively unknown to wider audience 😄1 point

Anyway, it can't be 8am tomorrow cos I said 10.02 am tomorrow and if I am wrong I shall be very upset and refuse to look at any lineup for 2 hours and 2 minutes.1 point

On the Keane... Jake Bugg, Kaiser Cheifs etc etc front. I think there is a whole bundle of music listeners who listened to these acts in the early noughties who only ever bought these acts first albums then abruptly stopped listening to music altogether but still go to festivals. They have nearly no knowledge of music after 2005 and will fight you say the Kooks are not big enough to headline..... It's been sustaining Neighborhood weekender for years.1 point

Haha this is me too. I am expecting for this to be my least favourite line up in recent years based on rumours but I'm still desperate to know. And of course hoping to be pleasantly surprised! Let's hope today's the day.1 point

Ha! Yeah won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I kind of got into dance music when the trance scene exploded late nineties. All I would want is one 90 minute set of trance bangers. Ideally in the Glade Dome.1 point

Its always been a pop festival and has always taken its headline artists from the charts. The only examples when it didn't are real outliers from the 80s like Fela Kuti, who's the closest they’ve had to someone who didn't really trouble the mainstream. That's not to say they don't also factor in artistic quality- over the years some havent had it (e.g. Kasabian, Ed Sheeran, Travis, Shakespeare's Sister etc), but luckily most of the acts have. And it'll be the case if / when book the likes of O-Rod, Taylor or The Weeknd.1 point
