The Unsuccessful

A run of 8 festivals comes to an end just as two acts I've been waiting to see on the Pyramid finally come to the festival (Radiohead and Foo Fighters). I'm gutted.

Mainly annoyed though as we got through the the registration screen at 9am on the dot, got through to payment a few minutes later and spent the rest of the time going round in circles as it wouldn't select the tickets properly. Would assume we'd done something wrong except the reg details were correct and it happened with at least 5 other people who got through for us.

Oh and I run a group thing to help each other get tickets - literally every other group that weren't the 2 groups with my crew in got tickets - in both sales! I suppose it was meant to be. Still upset though.

Try the competitions and secret sales, it's not over until the last act plays

That's true, but crying on Radio 1 isn't my style

I have already entered Oxfam, Thatchers and National Express. I had a couple of leads for other routes in but even they have dried up. Unfortunately my work is likely to prevent me from any success in the secret sales but I guess I can try.

Does anyone know if they have acknowledged any technical faults in the process this morning?

Ok here is my experience.

Needed 4 tickets and tried for Ticket+Coach resale ( 2 at a time) on Thursday and like many others spent ages trying to find a coach having got through and entered registration details but it was like musical chairs as all the options for destinations disappeared. Having failed realised that if in same situation again need to go straight to Thursday as most folk I suspect start with Wednesday and then move on. Lesson - go straight to Thursday to leap ahead and accept you may be putting your tent later than others.

So having felt pretty bad about the above I went for the numbers. Me and 13 others tried in the General Resale with a combination of iPhones with 4G, macs and iPads. 3 of us got through to payment page but first one had blocked others but no worries. Lesson - it's all about maximising your chances.

Great relief will be my no.7 since 2010. Aged 55 and taking 3 adult kids like a shepherd watching his flock.

I'm in too...even though I'm a relatively new efester  Two of my friend have been lurking literally for years though so gonna try and convince them to come along too!

I'm always tempted to join the meet but get shy/distracted and forget all about it. Perhaps if you all had your user names on t-shirts or tattooed on your foreheads I would say hello though.

I never did forum-type meet-ups before the eFests Glastonbury meet and now spend a couple of very happy hours with some of the loveliest people. It's such a smashing way to start the festival!

Bah! For the first time since '98 I'm missing out. Not a single ticket managed between eight of us trying in both October and this week. Gutted really as he line up looks like one of the best.

Just my turn I guess.

Honestly, within 5 minutes you'll be wondering why you ever worried about going.

I'm initially useless with people I don't know (honestly!!) but feel super at home in the eFests group, who are very unassuming and unfailingly welcoming.

Can't wait to take you there!

So sorry to hear that it's so awful when people miss out! But! Keep trying in the secret sales and competitions or try to work there.. someone posted a link for volunteers before but I don't remember which thread it was! Keep the faith!

Agreed.

First started going to the meets in 2013 and it's definitely turned into a ritual for me. Can't think of any other place I'd rather be than in the cabaret field at 6pm on the Wednesday.
