I was kinda looking for English Teacher to show up considering there is a space in their tour and the fact that they missed last year, that's my first thoughts.

I'll have to take some time to go through it all though

Got a bit bigger so maybe in Klub C?

Great lineup for the Slope as always and plenty of names to discover. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), many of my must-sees are clashing with other things I want to see. I wish they had programmed Psychonaut to headline Friday (hence, during LC) instead of Sunday, which makes it impossible to see them, for example. But oh well...can't complain!

Great to see overpass and Keo on here (also Florence Road). I hadn't realised the profile of these bands had risen so much recently, I wouldn't have had either of them down as Werchter bands 6 months ago.

Any sign of a poster yet? I find it difficult to process these lineups fully without one!

The Slope doesn’t clash with the main at all.  Only issue will be if you want to get a really good spot for a main stage act I guess

(no doubt you knew that tbf 😂)

Kingfishr, Wolf Alice, The Last Dinner Party, Franz Ferdinand, The Warning, the XX.

We’re missing a few afternoon Barn/Klub C acts but what a festival day.

Mines Lewis, TLDP, Social Distortion and The Warning. Nice set of bands, just a finishing band issue. It's not what I'd call a really strong day though.

You’re missing the best name of the day with FKA Twigs.

Saw her last year at Dour and it was just not for me tbh. Still a great name to close the Barn.

I missed The Warning at Pinkpop so more than happy to give them a try. They looked great from afar. The Slope will be packed.

FKA Twigs is probably the name I look forward to most so yeah. Loved her last album (and extended version).

You are absolutely right, I was typing without thinking! I had in mind the slot between the sub and the HL on the main (when the HL of the Slope always plays) but the clashes are with the other stages. Psychonaut during Paul Kalkbrenner (tbf the whole Sunday lineup is one big clash), the Reytons during Pixies and with my mates surely wanting to get a good spot for Gorillaz, etc., etc.. But hey…that’s a good problem to have right? Means that the lineup is good for our taste. I had waaay more painful clashes at RW over the years, it’s a sign of a good festival 🙂.

Just finally got a chance to sit down and look at the list properly. Think The Slope had more names for me last year personally, but I’m still fairly impressed with this batch of names! They’ve managed to get some bands like The Warning and The Reytons who I thought would have been low Barn/Main type acts on there. Some other interesting names and plenty I don’t know to go and discover today, great announcement for a festival all-in-all imo.

Is it just me or do Overpass sound like Catfish & The Bottlemen

the singer accent/style reminds me of delphic.

had a quick listen to all the acts this morning, nothing is really sticking out so far but the festival lineup is soo strong anyway that I might not have to rely on the slope as much this year

Why did you think they got bigger? Literally did nothing since cancelling last year’s show.

It’s probably my thoughts as they’ve got slightly bigger in the UK

I'm taken with the Slope. Been wanting to see Radio Free Alice, Scene Queen, Ecca Vandal and Westside Cowboy for a while. Man/Woman/Chainsaw are my current favourite band. I know the singer from Overpass from my local, so that's a thrill. Newdad, Florence Road, both good.

Assuming that's right I reckon we'll get one massive drop of all 25/26 names at the end of the month. I'm going to try and hold off until then hoping tickets don't sell out as I really like the look of Way Out West too (and I've never been) but the line ups are very similar at the top so it'll be either/or. I think my plan now is a combo of Rock for People/Rock Werchter or a combo of Pinkpop/Way Out West for the best combo of different bands; I just want the full scope of the line ups so I can make an informed decision before the flights/hotels get too silly haha

Last years last drop was 23 acts so I reckon they’ll just announce them all again in 2 to 3 weeks

Big fan of the Slope names so far.

I've seen Karen Dio (did an ace metal cover of Chappell Roan), Cardinals (in a really tiny 150 cap venue), Man/Woman/Chainsaw (4 times, excellent art rock), House of Protection (supporting Architects, they were incredible), The New Eves (End of the Road + Wide Awake '23, magical), Newdad (nice indie), Westside Cowboy (talked to the singer and his family for a bit at their Blondshell gig they be lovely), and can vouch for Psychonaut, Ecca Vandal, Keo (got them in March), Radio Free Alice, Florence Road, Basht., Pup (2000 Trees!) and Scene Queen

Good lineup. Don't think it'll be as lively as the Fat Dog/Lambrini Girls/Gurriers triple whammy last year but that was special. I'm not fussed on the Reytons - Northern straight-edged indie doesn't do much for me - but happy they're not taking up a barn slot and open to catching them and being surprised.

For whatever reason. The Belgian audience has so far not really connected to them.

I almost wondered if the muted reaction at their previous Brussels show resulted in last year's festival cancellation (not sure that there was a reason given).

they are pretty niche, I think they cancelled pretty late so probably more down to illness or something

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
