Just a thought: considering Jamie xx is doing a 2-months MSG residency with Harry Styles starting late August, it seems unlikely that the xx's short festival-run this summer will turn out to be a full-on tour supporting a new album (tho I WAS under the impression they were recording together again).

Now Im really glad I decided on RW!

Agreed, think they’ll do a short run then be back next year for the likes of Glastonbury and their own bits.  Love them so very thankful they’re playing

What does that actually have to do either deciding to do Werchter?, they are doing an early summer tour.

Well it’s a big week for announcements:

IOW Festival

Roskilde

Opener

Boardmasters

Plus whatever else hasn’t been pre announced.

Should give us some more clues for the remaining acts to be announced for this

The Cardigans announced a one-off in London one week before Werchter. Let's see

Seems like he meant that he won't be able to catch them later in the year, so he's glad he got RW tickets...

Empire Of The Sun just announced a raft of Euro dates. No Belgium date, only have the Thursday free so I think they're out unfortunately.

yeah I saw that to, had a look on the clashfinder and they might be able to be squeezed in but feels highly unlikely

Any thoughts on what everyone is hoping/expecting on the slope?  For me I’m keeping my fingers crossed for:

Lime Garden

Balu Brigada

Floodlights

Getdown Services

Villanelle

Westside Cowboy

Good Neighbours can be a cool addition. They're playing at a small venue (600~) in Brussels next month, I think it makes them a possibility

Getdown seems inevitable (and maybe Viagra Boys as well?) I'd hope that Callous Daoboys would be one of the heavier names there. Maybe Against the Current/Holding Absence since they're about again?

TTSFU, Keo, Florence Road (although maybe now even on the barn), Model/Actriz, My First Time, Lemonsuckr, all could be names that could show up and wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah I think Viagra boys will be there, maybe a lower Klub C spot?  That’s a few other good names you’ve mentioned actually, plenty of good opportunities for lots more clash headaches.

Just as a reminder with what’s still to come:

Thursday:

2 Main Stage
1 Barn
2 Klub C
6 Slope

Friday:

0 Main Stage
3 Barn
3 Klub C
6 Slope

Saturday:

1 Main Stage
2 Barn
3 Klub C
6 Slope

Sunday:

3 Main Stage
2 Barn
4 Klub C
6 Slope

I'd be happy with all of them. I've got it in my head that The Lottery Winners and Don Broco will be there (the latter might have a Klub C slot to be fair). I don't know if it's too soon for a return from them but I would love Deadletter to be there.

What do we think then, announcement today or not?

We pray.  With Pukklepopp next week i guess if it’s not today we’ll be waiting another couple of weeks

Anyway, I hope it’s either in 54 mins or 2 hours 54 mins to go

could work with that. this just the slope?

Think it’s more likely to be a package.  The slope normally appears during that radio show (although got leaked earlier in the day both years that’s happened)

work is hard at the moment, so I'm playing as many youtube videos of last year as I can to make it feel a bit easier 😄

do local's get annoyed when the artists refer rock werchter as brussels? and think its french speaking, I know belgium is a mix of languages but were in the flemish side, it's just something that irked me a little last year..or am I just being up tight?

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
