Unless something changed lately that I'm not aware of, the latest permission was for a total of 7 days (4xRW + 3). Hence, the new/additional 1-day event, "Park life". Otherwise the'd have no reason to come up with a new event they would 've just stuck with TW Classic.

 

But tbh, I do hope that there will be no TW classic this year as it will take more bands away from the main festival (unless that will be Mumford & Sons in which case, do it, do it, do it 🙂 )

I really hope it's legit. My most anticipated band for next year, no way I'm not seeing them somewhere. 

This schedule leaves the door open for both RW and Graspop though. I think they will have a bigger impact at RW as a Barnhead for example against a pop name on the main. 

 

Edit: Not sure if they are considered big enough for it in BE but they would be a great sub for the Cure too imo

Sorry for the multiple posts! I just saw the announcement from A Perfect Circle, I initially thought that the tour schedule was a leak as well. Amazing news! I'll buy tickets for their own show this Friday and if they are at RW I'll have to see them twice. Oh well... 🙂

Not too be pessimist as I would absolutely love them I think those dates make them far more likely for Graspop than Werchter sadly

But there is also no French date and it’s a gap for Hellfest or Graspop. Last time they played on Graspop, now it’s probably Werchter’s turn

Clarifying Point

Graspop announced the first names today, do we assume that there might be no announcement tomorrow if GMM are drip feeding their acts daily? I know they don't like to announce things on the same day.

They only announce indoor shows, the only "festival" is the one in Italy but it's more a outdoor show like I-Days. I honestly think the only day missing on their tour to be announced is Hellfest as a festival exclusive and that's it.

It won't be a festival exclusive as the band already was announced for RAR / RIP, Nova Rock and Copenhell.

They've done announcements on the same day before. If Werchter keeps the 8am slot and Graspop does 4pm then I don't see a problem I don't think

Having revisited these days and realised they've got the Sunday option after Luxembourg, Werchter is quite a good bet, I dont think they'll be main. 3rd down below what I think would be The Cure and Florence is a bit odd so expect the Barn

Lovely! Of those acts I would love to see Jack White, Mac DeMarco, Wolf Alice and Father John Misty. Obviously Nick Cave as well but he is ruled out, right?

Yeah Cave is out. 

 

Ethel Cain v likely with tour dates up to Werchter, including Open'er. 

 

Wolf Alice has dates before and after,  including NOS Alive, so I think they're likely. 

 

Mac Demarco and Father John Misty are both also on the Primavera Barcelona lineup, but I don't think they've yet got anything booked into July. So might not be around long enough for RW but need to wait and see.

Depends on how long he is in Europe. Starting with Northside would mean 4 weeks although his legs usually have three weeks maximum.

I think he'll do Werchter as his last weekend and he's going to be one of the first days too.
