That being said I don't mind you, no matter what username you are using. The sharing of the Internet IP with your festival original username, that will go as an all time efests moment.

Yeah, it wasn't my best moment but it was all tied up in a lot of unneeded stuff really. In life I struggle, massively sometimes and in a strange way this place can be my release because it focuses on things I enjoy like music. Its not a release against other people, it's a place I can almost escape. I don't even know what the original name was, it's not a period I care to remember but I'm also coming out of a very tough period of life where mentally I was in a very bad place, I didn't work for 9 months, I wasn't getting out of bed, I wasn't eating, I had a lot going on and I was ready to give up, my body had given up, my motivated was gone and I was dead inside.

 

For me, this has really stemmed from me simply saying hopefully not TWOD. I don't hate them by any stretch but I wouldn't choose them at all, sisco said a lot would love it and that's fair. There was no disagreement with that, no hate to it, no they are rubbish, they are to me but that's not something that needs forcing on to others. I will like a lot of bands that others won't like. Disturbed for example are one of my favourite hard rock bands but I'm not about tell anyone who disagree with that they don't like them. Werchter next year is finally a nothing clashing chance to go ao obviously I'm hoping for the optimal amount of bands that I favor to be there. Yes I get it that people might think every band isn't needed to come on but it's not like my own choices aren't slated and I'm not even slating them.

Forgetting all the other stuff, mental health isn’t a joke so glad you’re feeling better.  Know you’re running and exercise is certainly something that helps me too.  Keep going and above all else talk if it ever gets too much

What Sisco says above, and also get in touch if you do make an appearance at Werchter next year so we can get a beer. It was really nice to see Sisco last year, and as much as we may disagree over TWOD or Disturbed on here, there's a lot more about a shared love of music and festivals to celebrate.

No it's not. If the weather hadn't got better from March onwards to get out for walks and running then I wouldn't be here now. Im 38 and I was going to bed nightly accepting that if my body gave up overnight and that was the end for me then I've done some nice things in life. Home life hasn't been good and I've been trying to get some other accommodation for a while. The last month things have taken a dip, I've not been able to focus, the decided on anything and I'll put off so many things. I've had flashbacks in the day time and at night of previous times in time when there were episodes of bullying and years later it still haunts me and makes me have to cross the roads or decided something due to old times and images in my head.

I think Jack or Foos as the European announcement is coming. It almost feels if its not Foos this week then they might well be out. I think the different of Foos being there and not now is massive as I dont think they'll book anyone as big as that if not. 

 

The difference of booking say Foos, Jack as a co-headliner and Florence now vs Muse over Foos for example would be massive for me.

So let's be realistic here, He will fly from the UK to Belgium to do a show then back to the UK, then from Ireland to Portugal/Spain and then back again?
He will be more likely announcing TKmaxx Cardiff depot & the others..

Probably right but right now there is enough space and dates available. Belgium isn't like he's going to Belgium or even like Italy much further away.

It's not about how far away anything is, it's about logistical and touring profits, why would he fly all the gear and band over and back again, the dates are going to be filled with UK shows.

There really is no need for the Foo’s to be back so soon is there? I said elsewhere but personally think they’ll just do their own shows this year

Guaranteed ticket seller, perhaps not many of that level around next year. 

 

Lot of good headliners around, but foo fighters are on another level ticket sales wise.

 

Personally seen them enough, to not bother with.

There isn't but that doesn't stop it happening. Nova Rock for example had Slipknot in 13 and 15.

Foos could do Werchter Classic right? If RW are confident enough in the availability of other headliners to sell out the festival.

 

I still think they could be likely though, RW has form for rebooking bands quickly, like RHCP recently in back-to-back years. If Foos are around at the right time and they get the opportunity to book them, then no doubt they'd help shift tickets.

I believe I read somewhere that they have council permission for two standalone days outside of the main Rock Wertcher festival, so with the addition of Park life this year I think that means no Wertcher Classic.

 

FWIW if foos get offered to almost any festival they're getting booked IMO.

Ah right that makes sense, then definitely agreed. 

 

Looking back at past lineups, there does seem to be a stadium level rock band pretty much every year (Foos/Muse/Pearl Jam/Green Day, maybe RHCP belong in the same category). 

 

So far Foos seems to be the one who are most likely to be touring at the right time for next year.

I actually think that’s more likely than FF, but we shall see. 
 

Btw I do agree that IF they’re doing the festival route and they’re available then it makes sense as a big ticket seller however I just think they’ll do their own shows this time.

I've convinced myself the weekly tuesday announcements are working backwards from something scheduled outside of Werchter's control - that being a Foo Fighters euro announcement tomorrow.

Idles announced for Inmusic and Bloc Party doing a joint tour with Interpol.   Defo a couple of bands I’d love to be there

Yup they are. There was actually a scenario around covid that although there was multiple years between actually appearances, the return of one of the headliners was a very short time due to that situation. Foos and The Cure would be very hard to say no to in the case of getting whoever i like to attend.
