It would just be weird not to have a single female headliner nowadays and I don't know who it could be if not Lorde nor Florence

Right now it would surprise me for Foos to be Thursday or Friday, Jack White and Mumford to co-headline and Florence Sunday even though I have said I dont think they would have The Cure, Florence and Mumford all returned from the same year. The ideal scenario is that Lorde subs Foos, Florence heads with The Cure and The Offspring headline the Barn on Saturday.

Going by what I’ve been told/heard about dates etc…I really do think it’s most likely to be:

Mumford & Sons

Sabrina Carpenter

Twenty One Pilots + Gorillaz

The Cure

Hopefully no as that would be terrible personally. Also The Offspring aren't playing below any of those I doubt which is why I'd doubt is as there is more chance of them being there currently than Sabrina.

Agreed something like this looks likely, trying to predict the top few names each day. Maybe a bit guilty of too much genre-bias to sell day tickets.

Mumford and Sons, Jack White, Teddy Swims, Kasabian

The Barn: David Byrne

Sabrina Carpenter, Lorde, The Last Dinner Party

The Barn: Pixies

Twenty One Pilots, Gorillaz, Idles, Wolf Alice

The Barn: Ethel Cain, Matt Berninger

The Cure, The War on Drugs, A Perfect Circle,

The Barn: Moby

Mumfords are just entering the chat btw.  Being announced for something big soon with the right dates

Yeah, just double checked and the Hyde Park insider info coupled with the available Hyde Park dates puts them right in the fun zone here

What are the dates available left? I don't mind Mumfords but not them and Sabrina at the loss of better decent options. As much as I don't think BlackFoxx is necessarily far away, that's not going to part with £300.

No, sisco just doesn't believe they will be there.

Tbf never have and with another couple of big names appearing imminently with dates around RW it just adds to my feelings.

As always, no doubt wrong and something else will turn up scuppering it all

Assuming it's the same as other years there are two dates the weekend of June 26-28 and all of Werchter weekend. Might be worth noting though that the promoters seem to be doing a joint booking with all of their artists with both Hyde Park and Roundhay Park in Leeds so potentially that could have to be factored in if both dates are over Werchter weekend.

That's fair. Tbh for me, compared to LP, Green Day and Olivia, Sabrina, Mumfords along with already less so in my view the Saturday co-headliners would mean The Cure pulling all the weight. Jack and Florence would change that as I've seen him plenty but to go it would be a decent addition, Florence would more so. With TWOD about too as potential that also doesn't appeal. My firm belief is though The Offspring will be there and I don't think they go below any of those headliners mentioned unless they co-headlined with Jack. So it could go from looking really good to very poor, for me anyway. There is nothing stopping me going, but I won't force it.

@northernangel, Do you think The Offspring could play The Barn? Or do you think it'd only be sub/co-headliner on main?

I've had a quick look where they've been announced elsewhere so far for next summer.

RIP/RAR -  equivalent poster position to Electric Callboy and Papa Roach.

Jera on Air - headliner, equivalent to Papa Roach and Architects.

Nova Rock - equivalent poster position to Bad Omens and Sabaton.

Given these placements, I'm still not convinced that they'd necessarily have to be sub/co-headliner, especially at a more genre-diverse festival like Werchter. Blink-182 played 3rd down main in 2017, and they're probably a bigger but similar band to the Offspring aren't they - at least in the UK, I'm not sure about Belgium-specific popularity?

I've also checked out their tour dates a bit more, and they're in Europe from June 3rd (Sweden Rock Festival), to June 27th/28th (can't remember which was the leaked date at Crystal Palace Bowl). It could just be that they tour too soon for RW and Belgium misses out.

Caveat that I'm saying all the above as a fan, having been to see them in California, so I'm not trying to bash on them or anything.

As said, they played sub in 2016 at Werchter so they won't play below now at their biggest in years.

They are also playing multiple festival around that put them in good stead to play including Tinderbox announcement recently.
