Giving the already announced headliners, a proper guitar headliner looks more likely to me.

Maybe with a "poppier" act co-heading with the XX (what about Moby? Mumford, Maroon 5 or others could work too)

Apparently Foo Fighters are announcing their tour tomorrow, there are signs in Milan Central Station and now the i-Days leak for July 5th seems to be real.

That leaked day feels a little bit weak for a Thursday main lineup though.

I think so too. I like Mumford but usually Werchter adds a very big artist on Thursday to attract more visitors.

I thought overall it was quite a strong day  but that’s probably because I like Lorde, Vampire Weekend and Kasabian and would expect them all to be sub headliners/Other stage headers at Glastonbury.  Obvs I appreciate things are different in Belguim

 

100% get your point about a stronger headliner though, guess for the Thursday The Cure would have made more sense.

Was saying to @BlackFoxx a while back that I thought this year could not have the heavy hitter names at the top of the lineup but be pretty stacked down the bill.  I think seeing the Mad Cool lineup has given me more hope of that

After that announcement I might have to start shifting towards the idea of going to mad cool , but let’s see what else Werchter can offer.

Great poster indeed! I'm looking at that Wednesday and the Saturday and I'm drooling a little bit. I know we can't have FF and Nick Cave at RW but I'd gladly take the majority of the rest of the names. Especially Moby, TWOD, Pulp, The Reytons, Kasabian, Wolf Alice...well...just bring all of them over 🙂!

 

Btw, TWOD are a strong candidate to be either co-head on Friday or sub on Thursday imo.

I feel very tempted to go again to Mad Cool. That line up looks fantastic. However, many of those bands hopefully also comes to Werchter.

Sounds very very plausible. I’ll need something strong at the Barn/KlubC on Thursday as no one in my group is into either M&S or Lorde but if the undercard is as good as expected with all the great names that are around, I’ll happily take it.

My guess is that they will be doing a Belgium date around their Reading snd Leeds to be announced shows which I'd say are 99% now.

 

And there were also have the KOL drop. That addition perks up Werchter slightly.

Foos, Florence, Lorde, KOL, Halsey, Pulp says they have heavy hitters at the top. Mad Cool has turned many heads, it is more of an all-rounder though with booking names so I wouldn't expect to look out the same for Werchter all the way though. No Mumfords though is interesting. Apart from Alanis and Refused, they've got some more names this year. Looks like one more round of names to come too. 6 top line names this year that Werchter didn't grab as well. 6 top names in 2024 and around 5/6 in 2023 too.

 

At a guess I'd say Foos, Halsey, Nick Cave, Jennie, The Black Crowes being 5 of them. Have just seen top two alternate too. Catching Foos and Moby, Florence, and Lorde, I'd watch Jennie, all of Friday and Pulp is a great start.

I think TWOD are missing in there, one of the first names I'd include from Mad Cool. I'd expect Florence too, generally on a 4 day Mad Cool, they haven't shared two of their top names and it's already Nick Cave and Foos. I still think Sunday is Florence as the co-headliner. The other option is that KOL is actually TWOD.
