Not having to compromise / herd cats / detour etc is definitely one advantage.

Offset by noone to bring you back a pint on their toilet trip whilst you stay watching the show - or to hold your space if you do the same.

The first year in went semi-solo (can't call it solo or @stuartbert two hats gets the hump with me 😂) I found it meant I got way more in terms of seeing what I wanted, when I wanted, but the offset was that I laughed a hell of a lot less.

Pros and cons to everything innit

Indeed - as a group we often wind up in a state of self-perpetuating hysteria.  Won't be ending the day half-naked covered in bruises and neon paint on a solo mission.

Inevitably it'll be the after hours portion of the festival that will suffer - not least cos the lads that normally help sort that side of things out have conclusively d@bbed down.

I am now. Been a rollercoaster of not planning to go, tentatively trying and failing, turning down a work opportunity, turning down a Sunday ticket, not feeling it at all, planning to try in the coach resale, but 24 hours before, I got the heads up on a working spot. After consideration, it saves me the best part of £500, so I gratefully accepted and didn't try (for myself) in the resale.

That really is a rollercoaster - see you there then!

7/7 for us in resale which is unreal. 5 on coach, 2 on general. Cant believe it. @gfagot our final 2 after the sold out message. Think it might be the latest I’ve seen at 9:22! 😮 Absolute hero.

My wife got hers at 9.21, I told her she must have had the last ticket but looks like you can take that accolade!

Was absolutely mad! Still can't believe it even now 🙂

    • Liddle: "Drop a small nuclear bomb on Glastonbury to immediately remove from our country almost everybody who is hugely annoying.”   Farage: Free speech!    Polanski: accepts a collaboration on 20 innocuous looking set of photos on instagram but doesn't notice that one that says 'making plans for Nigel' with a guillotine image.   Farage: I expect the MET police to arrest him.
    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
