Announcing a stadium tour on Thursday (most likely around June/July) and they’re missing from the Download lineup despite being rumoured for multiple festivals around Europe at a similar time.

Anyone recon they’re in for a chance? Not sure where they’d play if they got booked and even if they got booked however.

No chance of headlining the Pyramid. Possibly Other, although if they’re (bizarrely) a stadium band now, they may consider it beneath them. Not really the sort of act that the Eavii routinely book

and somehow you think playing Wembley means they can do Glasto.

Funny how any festival thats worth a damn is getting these questions on LP even though theyre not being booked for anything multi genre. Almost as if the scientologists want to manifest this. 🤔

Is Rock Werchter not multi genre?

Some did use to go for both tbf - Muse did both Glastonbury and Wembley in 2010, while Foo Fighters were meant to be doing both in 2015 before Dave Grohl's Swedish stage stumble. I'm not sure if LP were on Glastonbury's radar necessarily though.

While I do not think they is any chance they will be at Glastonbury this year -  I think they should be and has headliner.

I think the criteria for a headliner should always be can they pull a big enough crowd and can they entertain that crowd.  I think they would easily pull an Arctic Monkeys size crowd, possibly bigger.  They are mega popular I think the reunion has shown that.

I think if this reunion goes as well as it looks like it is the festival would do well to get them.  Reality is they probably would take Leeds& Reading or DL money ahead of Glasto

I think it's headliner or nothing for LP.

They are big enough to do it and I think they would be great live if you are into that sort of thing.

It's no stranger than metallica doing it.

Not this year with Wembley happening.

I think it will always be unlikely because Download/R&L is a better fit, but you couldn't ever write it off.

Looking at the tour poster they posted on twitter/x. It doesn't appear that they do any back to back nights at any point. Every date appears to have a gap as far as I can see (unless there are festival dates in between that aren't on the poster).

Therefore if they play London on Saturday. Then a glasto Friday/Sunday is surely unlikely?...

I feel they have a better chance of doing in now than ever before, especially with Emily really pushing for more female fronted headliners 🤷‍♀️ they have also had lots of other rock/metal bands so I see no reason LP couldn't be considered especially when there are so few bands these days that have the potential to draw a huge crowd other than ones they get to play every other year (Coldplay, foo fighters. Muse) snore!

To be fair it shouldn't be, it might have needed to changed but the name is kinda in the festival quite loud and clear and really consist of those elements on a heavy majority, which I would say it generally has.

I don't see a chance that Glastonbury book them mind. If anything they would turn up on the Sunday before going to Germany but they don't need to.

Not ruled out in theory. In practice as good as ruled out. In the end, it doesn't even matter, as they don't seem to be the type of act the festival would book.

That's enough lying from you!!! The festival is absolutely somewhere they belong, especially as Other Stage headliners imo. I think there's a faint hope, and I've not given up!

I'd love it if they did Glasto and be there with my bells on and hands held high. I'd be one step closer to ticking everyone on my to-see list. But they are doing stadiums all across the world, they're headliner or bust and sadly not the kind of headliner I see the festival booking. And even if you leave out all the rest, it would require breaking the habit of not doing shows on consecutive days.

    • Another note, if I didn't mention the food in the arena for main stage is right at the back. Bands wise they do very well for but as a festival so far they pros are outweighed quite heavily currently for me.
    • On another note for RIP as an event, there is some good things but there are so many things people going to UK festivals would hate and how far behind they are.  Consistent network and water, beer and pretzel like food is brought around to buy in the crowds. Topping up on the wristband is good. The camping and food arrangement is not good, you really need cooking kit. Water points inside the arena are bonkers, water points in camping are a faff unless you are close enough in general camp. Merch stands are crazy. You MASSIVELY need to think about your lidl shop for camping and try and do it so you've one stop. It's definitely worth it getting to a camping shop here, picking up a rolley between your mates and stacking it for the walk back....lidl is cheap though, not hard getting in but Thursday queues getting in and into the camping is mad. You have to register first for a wristband as well leaving any bigger bags behind so pull to a side if only two and do it separately. I was joining a WhatsApp group for solo camp so went with the flow but I've learnt. Had it been me or just two my tent would have been down much quicker.  Big final note, I got a fresh and black 3 man from decathlon before coming and put in bigger suitcase with my airbed and sleeping bag...do this. Take a smaller option for your clothes. If you go to Munich first, book your train to Nuremberg as far in advance as you can....very important!....it hikes crazy. Probably bettee overall for baggage sizes to do BA both ways but you do then need to go back to Munich after too. Use the B&B hotel hbf the night before....its very nice, comfortable, cheap and within 10 minutes of the station which also serves as a transport stop 15 minutes from the registration.  Get up literally like 5am with everything back the night before, shower and go. Transport is free anyway for festival ticket holders during the duration.  Would I just choose to travel in each day and back to a hotel?, on the basis of sleep and getting accommodation cheap enough for 3 nights i might just do especially if I picked the ticket up early enough. It doesn't feel like a festival in a normal sense....unless you are in general yoi have to exit on the paths outside the camping to walk down and in which also applies for getting water so have a stock up. Toilets are in the camping.
