I think the festival should actively try to not sell out and become less popular, ultimately leading to its demise. Sounds a good idea!

Or maybe down size to a sensible footprint and sensible number of people and stop trying to be all things to all people.

They need to book headliners with a certain amount of popularity or you end up with situations like Charli XCX v Neil Young which we can all agree was a misjudgement regardless of personal taste.

Both are quality headliners, the booking was fine, the placement was not. But this is a special case, NY was for Michael

Why is is so hard to enjoy the bits of the festival you enjoy and leave the rest be? Everything needs to go which you don’t like? Your arrogance is astounding.

That’s exactly what I do, haven’t been to Acoustic since 1985, it’s a very long time since I’ve been to Avalon or Woodsies.

Interesting thing I noticed this year. Somehow I’ve developed an excellent visual filter while at the festival.

Yeah I mean instead of droning on about areas/ bookings you don't like/ go to on here?

Ignore button is available .

The ignore button doesn't work - I added a user to it a few days back at moderator's request yet I'm still seeing that users posts sadly. Maybe check it works before directing us to use it?

Cheers. Got it working, hadn't added the user for some reason last time I tried.

Two IIRC

Not sure what you mean?  I'm saying McCartney playing in 2004 seemed like that would be it and he'd never play it again, he'd done it. But he eventually did play again after enough time had passed.  Springsteen could end up being similar, coming back to headline just because it's been ages.  McCartney has played twice now, so wasn't a one and done.

Yeah misunderstood due to not reading back far enough.

Oasis won’t accept a headlining offer in 2027 if Fontaines.D.C. is another Pyramid headliner on the same weekend.

The Gallaghers were pretty pissed off when Fontaines turned down a support for the reunion shows.

One or the other if anything materialises.

Bollocks.

Highly doubt Fontaines were asked when they ended up with Cast & Richard Ashcroft- clearly wasn't the vibe they were going for.

    • I was so lucky yesterday, disappointed of course not to see Massive Attack, but gorgeous sets from Blood Orange, Caroline, Panda Bear, and Father John Misty was a real highlight. The half of Geese i saw was mint too.   I wanted to see overmono but couldnt hack it anymore.   But now, its Friday, I'm In Love
