Any tips for parking in Cardiff next week?

Not parking per se but if you’re coming along the M4 then traffic into Cardiff (particularly Newport tunnel) can be awful on a Friday and is much worse when there is a big gig on. Plan to be there early!

If you’re going to Cardiff I really wouldn’t bother parking in Newport, seems a right faff and I wouldn’t be happy doing so. Free parking in Cardiff can be done on side streets etc if you do your homework, but there’s not too much.

You could park up in Penarth (much closer than Newport, and much nicer) and leave yourself with a short train ride in or, if it’s a nice day, walk over the Barrage into Cardiff Bay - you’ll love it.

When I go to an event at the Principality Stadium there’s a particular street I always park on. It’s pay and display, free after 6pm (I think). It’s a 20 minute walk to the stadium from there and gives a quick access out of the city. I live 20 miles west of here and I’m usually home about 35 minutes after getting in my car. I’m not posting the location here, but happy to respond to DMs if needed.

Has anyone with tickets to the Cardiff gigs on Ticketmaster got the transfer option yet or is it still greyed out? A friend's dad bought the tickets for our group of 4 but he is not coming with us. Our gig is 2 August at Wembley so unsure if it is too far away to transfer, so wanted to check whether it was even an option or if just completely greyed out/disabled for this tour. If we aren't able to transfer, we should be ok logging into his Ticketmaster for the night and scanning the tickets that way right?

I'd probably agree with this - the queues at Central afterwards are enormous.

I've used the NCP at Dumfries Place a number of times for stadium events - 10 minute walk to the stadium depending on which gate you're in. Easy to get to from A48 at Gabalfa and straight onto Newport Road and out of Cardiff that way afterwards.

I would 100% avoid any of the city centre car parks (St David's, John Lewis) and probably the event parking at Sofia Gardens and near City Hall. The Bay could be an option if you're prepared for a 30 minute walk or so as taxi queues will also be huge.

Haven’t been to a stadium gig in Cardiff for a while but there was definitely one about 15 years ago where they closed off the city’s traffic for an hour or two after it finished. Nightmare. Other times I parked near the station and got out of the city within half an hour.

Doubt it. Might be best to get to Leeds hotels. there is late night trains from Manchester pic.

We live near Huddersfield and got a train there for 3 quid each. It's just getting home. Taxi maybe 60 quid so could just do that.

Anyone reckon Manchester hotels will plummet in next week or so?

I didn't book the Wednesday to Friday that I needed for the added Bruce show until quite late notice. Ended up being cheaper to stay out in Stockport and catch the bus/train to/from Piccadilly. The Holiday Inn Express is right outside the station, Travelodge is about a seven minute walk from the station.

Tickets back on sale on ticketmaster - did anyone receive an email?

I got the email with a code yesterday and managed to get on this morning and get a standing ticket for Night 1 in Cardiff which I'm very happy with. I was in the 900's Ticketmaster queue wise, but that went down very quickly and got a ticket no problem which surprised me.

According to the email there was production tickets made available for all Cardiff, Manchester and Edinburgh shows.

Not a chance.

In light of Emilys most recent interview why not ? She said shes been working on patchwork for a year now and part of the issue was logistics, so basically fitting in the slot around a tour id guess.

Yeah to be honest  Newport works for me as I'm driving and a very much enjoy a drink when out. I'm sure if you are going back the same night there's probably easier ways of getting in to cardiff.
