Is it only TM that do this "In demand tickets pricing"? Would make sense if no See and G&T's only had 2 tickets to sell anyway

Nobody can report on see because it doesnt work. I doubt anyone got in. Im sure they do this also on other gigs if you check. Dua Lipa for example had it. But itll be impossible to check such a thing right now

Gigs and tours and seetickets are the same entity so they’ll both be down together.
Reached the front of the line on Ticketmaster then was told that it was no longer valid and was made to join the back of 250,000 people queue.
Managed to get through and get a cheap seat on a Wembley night and will decide nearer the time whether to go or give to a friend who’s a bigger fan

Wow !!! you must have bought the only 2 tickets they had

I tried to pick a less in demand date (Wednesday) and it has been refreshing for 1 hour 35 mins. But I guess at least there is life in them. Got standing too, didn't look like there were any sold out bits, maybe everyone will start getting through now?

Surely not!!!!!!

If you think in terms of - Single date vs Festival that you have to pre sign up for and don't know the line up for. They're already in favour in terms of 'when' people can go.
Heaton Park and Wembley Stadium capacity will both be around 80k.
5 Heaton dates, 5 Wembley dates. Thats 800k tickets.

Got through for Wednesday Wembley tickets on ticketmaster and my card got rejected for regular standing and then a different card rejected for seats. Strangely enough the card magically worked for the 358 surge priced tickets

watching the people on reddit just discovering that dynamic pricing is a thing is incredible.

im still shocked that theyre really gonna make these dates take this long and then add dates. If they could actually add the other dates it would make those queues not as bad and sell fast and you move traffic

Surely if you are See tickets, it would be less of a PR disaster to let ticketmaster take the full allocation and handle the Oasis sale exclusively, than seemingly have a tiny number of tickets and look comparatively inept as no one gets through on your site all morning and ends up having to resort to TM anyway?

    • I don't think a whole raft of attendees who've been going every year since the mid 90s and mid 10s collectively all thinking the festival is no longer for us suggests we've all aged out of it at the same time. Something fundamental has changed and its pretty obvious what that is. The fact that theyve managed to skinny down the line up so much AND STILL get punters in is a real credit to the bookers, filling it with enough of the current thing to get the kids excited for a weekend while pulling in enough big names to make it worth a day out for the casual Florence fan etc... is impresive. Re Leeds: Annecdotally, from videos, numbers have looked tiny vs Reading, esp on the camping end of things, it would be good to know the official numbers and how much they're down from the peak sell out years

    • I mean she's never going to admit it, but of course she would do a deal...same as Labour would with lib-dems/greens if meant getting into government.
    • They probably do make more from the festival. But take a look at an aerial photo from any year - there's always a few fields that would be viable for festival related use yet are left empty. I guess they just don't want to deal with the associated hassle.
