  1. One of my Glastonbury rituals used to be buying a pint of milk from the milk tractor and downing it in one as a hangover cure each morning. Strangely enough, on no other day of the year would I ever consider downing a full pint of milk to cure a hangover. Maybe it only works if you're hungover on a dairy farm?? Thanks again for all the comments all - seems like the main difference will be the busyness (worse than 2000?). Even after such a long gap, Worth farm is still my favourite place in the world. I genuinely can't wait!
  2. Thanks for these responses all - really useful!
  3. Yeah, I saw from the 2023 map that some things had moved a bit. I thought it was a massive change when the Welsh Oggie stall wasn't there, so it's going to feel very different this time round 😂
  4. I was lucky enough to snag a ticket in the resale on Sunday, and am now in obsessive planning mode and all round over excitement for my first Glastonbury in 10 years (hooray!). It will be my 11th Glastonbury all told, so I feel like I know the set up pretty well, but after a decade away (young kids, ticket sale failures), there's probably quite a bit that's changed that might be worth knowing. So, what should I know? I assume that everywhere on site takes contactless payment, so less need to arrive with loads of cash?? Much as I'd love to be off grid for 5 days, I'll need to be reachable for parents doing childcare - are there still the odd charge points on site? Anything else worth knowing? Cheers!
  5. Apologies if this has been asked already (can't find mention of it...) My latest Brothers can has a SIX digit code printed under (not on) the ring pull. The website suggests "Under the ring pull of EVERY New Era Can, you will find a unique code...", but I can't find a way of entering a 6 digit code on the competition entry page (it requires 8 digits). Am i being slow or missing something? Thanks!
  6. any number at the end seems to get you in the queue...
  7. Ronseal. Let us know what works and what might not in advance of Sunday!
  8. Sorry to those posters above, I've had to close our spreadsheet off now as we're getting to a pretty large group and don't want it to get unmanagable in the chaos of the sales. If we do open it up again for the resale later in the year, I'll DM those posters above to make sure you have the option of joining (if you've not been successful already!). BUT it sounds like there may already be the basis of a new group of at least 12 or so just on this thread though, so it may be worth starting up a new group independently as I'm sure there'll be more last minute interest this week...
  9. Second question of the day from me (sorry), this time on international tickets. Ticket info site says: UK Tickets can be purchased with a UK debit card or Visa or Mastercard credit cards. International Tickets can only be bought by Visa credit card or Mastercard credit card. I'm interpreting this as meaning that if 1 of the 6 in your group lives abroad (and is registered with a foreign post code), you'd need to use a credit card for the whole transaction to go through, as the international ticket requires a credit card payment. OR, do we think a UK debit card is OK for all tickets and the point being made is that non-UK debit cards can't be used? Essentially, can you use a UK debit card to buy a mix of UK and international tickets in one transaction?!
  10. I've added autorefresh.io for Chrome today in preparation. Techy question - do I need to opt for a 'hard refresh' of the page for it to be effective? I seem to vaguely remember reading something to this effect a while back but can't find any reference to it now. From autorefresh.io - 'Hard refresh - reload the page without relying on cached data' Cheers
  11. Just to confirm this group is now full up and the link has been taken down as we approach the coach sale on Tuesday (sorry if you were still looking to join). For those who have joined, if you are having any problems accessing just DM me with your details and I'll get back in touch.
  12. If you've thinking of getting involved with this group, I'm going to lock the spreadsheet in advance of the coach sale, so please add your details this week. If you have already added your details, please fill in any gaps and check your details before the weekend. I'll send out access details via email and WhatsApp once the spreadsheet is locked - you can DM me here in case of any problems.
  13. Feel free! If you're all together, you can fill up group 10, otherwise you can fill the gaps across groups 8, 9 and 10. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Zwx6G6Fz7hfCrTUbaiWsnOIiQNhywlhqSFQpRPbivL4/edit?usp=sharing
  14. Yep, good spot - should have read Manchester RETURN (there isn't a single option from Manchester). I've corrected this now, so should be good to add your details in.
  15. Understood. Let's be clear then - if joining multiple groups can harm this group's chances then it's a no-go. If you're joining this group, either get your other mates to join too (best of both worlds), or choose one group only and stick with that. I'll add a note on the spreadsheet for clarity and will post to the WhatsApp too. Thanks for raising!
  16. This is a really important point. Maybe someone who's seen the booking page more recently than me can clarify what would happen here: Say you get through and enter the details for your group of 6, but person 3 in your group (for example) has managed to get a ticket in the last few minutes independently, so their reg is locked. Would the buying page then highlight person 3 as an issue when you tried to proceed, or just block the whole group's transaction? If it highlights person 3 as the issue, then presumably you could just delete out person 3 and proceed with the rest of the group? This would be the same if someone had entered their details incorrectly in the spreadsheet. If it shuts out everyone, it's a bigger issue, so we would need to ask everyone to commit solely to this group (advantage, there are 40+ of us, so potentially bigger than other groups of friends etc. If not, best bet is to go with the biggest group available to you).
  17. Great stuff! We're up to 40 now, with 6 full groups of 6 already. The WhatsApp is building nicely too for those yet to join, with some good tips shared already. By coach sale day, we'll have a ticket buying force to be reckoned with (hopefully! 😆)
  18. Just a nudge to anyone who has added their name to the spreadsheet but not yet left and email or contact number - please do add this in as it's needed to grant you access to the spreadsheet on sale day and communicate via WhatsApp around coordination and payment. If you don't want to add your details to a public spreadsheet, you can DM me instead. For anyone else, there's still plenty of room to join both the coach sale and main sale if you're looking to get involved. The more of us there are to help each other out on sale day, the better each of our chances are! Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Zwx6G6Fz7hfCrTUbaiWsnOIiQNhywlhqSFQpRPbivL4/edit#gid=0
  19. Of course, more the merrier! Jump in!
  20. No password, just requires you to input your email address to access the sheet.
  21. Good to hear @Kaboom Boxer! You should be able to add your details directly into the spreadsheet now: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Zwx6G6Fz7hfCrTUbaiWsnOIiQNhywlhqSFQpRPbivL4/edit?usp=sharing
  22. email access question - the spreadsheet itself will be locked in advance of the sale day, meaning no one else can add, edit or generally interact with the details in there. The only people who will be able to access it will be those who have been pre-authorised via an email address they've provided. This avoids the risk of loads of people piling in at the last minute on sale day, making changes and generally confusing the whole set up. By the day itself, it's only the 'Tickets purchased?' column that should be seeing any action!
  23. That sounds ideal, and also from your experience that people are willing to share phone numbers to be added to a WhatsApp for this purpose (something I wasn't sure about previously). Taking on board bob's reluctance to use WhatsApp, I think more people would still be comfortable with WA than a less well known. alternative (sorry Bob), so I'll add this in to the setup for this and the explanatory notes in the spreadsheet. Thanks @Crazyfool01
