Hmmm no priority email for me. Got a Glasto ticket so no biggie. I’ll wait a week to see if it lands.

I should be good until 2028 on the 7 in 7 rule.

I'm assuming you didn't get the bog-standard non-priority "places open" email either, which went out later the same day?

In which case it's probably going to be an email issue, something that Oxfam seem to have quite often.

I got the standard email and I’ve only volunteered with them once. The Shambino year, whenever that was

Yeah I think they leave a proportion of places available for general availability?

They don't specifically hold any places back, they just don't all go in priority. As far as I'm aware they only did it the once which was the year before they tightened up the criteria for priority

Thats correct.  Neither email landed.  Nothing to bother the office with until the new year.

Arrived at 7pm Wednesday this year because I was on the coach from the NW.  I would have been on site for 48+ hours if I had chosen the Oxfam route.  I missed the Monday/Tuesday soooooo much!

Yeah, the Mon/Tues is what I miss most about working Glastonbury. But I'm too old/tired/lazy* these days for that so just have to go for a Wednesday AM arrival. Hopefully this year you can aim for a bit earlier through the gates, not a fan of those evening coaches at all and I've heard a rumour that some people even arrive Thursday 🤯.

Would be pretty confident your priority status is absolutely fine. At this point I only qualify under the 7 in 7 rule, having skipped 2024 entirely, and still got this years email but there's been times in the past where the email didn't come through at all (for no obvious reason) and yet everything was still ok when I went to login on the day.

*delete as applicable, but really it's just lazy.

Any recycling crew spent the last hour on the Critical Waste site? 😡 lost count of the times it crashed

Yeah 😂 I just jumped straight to the payment, sent the bank transfer, waited a few hours, then filled everything out when there was less traffic on the website. I'm sure the "first come first served" thing is just when the payment comes in.

Has anyone else got an interview with Fai Watu today? Just sat waiting for 30 minutes to be let in to the virtual meeting room. No reply to emails either. I'm assuming they have an issue

Is this for an employed position or volunteering?

Did they ever get back to you?

    • I don't know if they were playing the game of only putting certain seats on sale, but the presale for the Hydro was a battle - usual game of selecting blue seats only for them to have gone by the time you clicked through to checkout.  No standing available at all.  I managed to get two seats eventually, way over to the side.
    • Thom Yorke will be releasing new music this year. Would be amazing to have him (his 2019 Tomorrow's Boxes tour was stellar). Ed O Brien can also play a small set. Could be lovely.   Can see Fontaines DC headlining next year (if Mad Cool doesn't get them). Is Raye edgy enough for this? She's amazing live but maybe not a 'Primavera name'?   Hoping for a return of Run The Jewels (rumored to be working on something new?) Fred Again is a good shout as wel.
    • Other than the very challenging hours of the storm (and PS's terrible mismanagement), I thought weekend was fantastic. Main highlights on Thursday - Blood Orange and Ahadadream>>Bambi>>BenUFO run at Plentitude right after the storm which were all a blast, Friday -  Avalanches DJ set (only played for an hour but could've continued for another two as far as we were concerned), The Cure (amazing show and his expression right at the end of the show which was caught on screen was very special) and on Saturday - Baxter Dury (seen him twice before but he has become a real performer, band was tight too). We accidentelly bumped into him in the VIP area later and he was so humble and modest and generous to us that I completely fell for him) and Smerz (especially the last 3 songs). Also loved BCNR at Parallel62 on Sunday. Crushed to have missed Overmono. Can't wait for next year.
    • well, the attack was in a republican area...
    • huge interpol fan here and saw them a lot but cannot recall they did Primavera Barca the last 3 years?
