this is a bit strange really... there's usually loads of space in that car park, especially on the hill!

I think officially the parking on the hill is for other volunteer groups. That's where recycling crew park. Years ago used to be mix as I have parked in what is Oxfam parking nowadays but am always directed up to Purple 1.

OMG I got an Oxfam place!! Had almost given up on getting to the farm this year. First time volunteering but been thinking of trying it for a while. Slightly nervous about going solo I'll admit but also looking forward to meeting new people

Congratulations! I volunteered solo for oxfam in 2019, it was my first time volunteering and it was one of the best Glastonbury’s I’ve done.. have fun!

Also volunteered with Oxfam for the first time last year after many years and had a great time.  Going back again as a volunteer again this year.

Can anyone give some info on how shifts work with Avalon? All I know is 3 x 8 hours between Weds and Sun. What hours are the bars open, what are the shift times within those hours and which bars to they run? Any shared knowledge will be much appreciated.

Congrats - my sis just got a waitlist spot as well, SO CHUFFED as we were about to give up hope with the Oxfam site melting earlier.

It's likely you will have at least 2 shifts Fri-Sun (possibly all 3, though you may get lucky with a Wed/Thurs shift) and these are usually 11am-7pm or 7pm-3am. Stonebridge goes til 5am and I think 1 or 2 other bars have slightly different hours too. There's 17 bars across site (I think) - you'll get sent all the info though.

There's an unofficial Avalon whatsapp group - I can send you an invite if you like?

There is one, I still have links to some Oxfam groups from when I did it in 2023 but not that one i'm afraid. Maybe go on the FB page and ask if you can join.

Well who would have thought it...

11.30pm on this Tuesday evening and I got my Oxfam place!! Thanks to @gazzared looking out for me 😊

I'm (finally) going to Glastonbury!! 🙌🏼

Excellent news everyone - I also managed to get a spot for a mate who missed out this afternoon, he's a happy man. Cheeky little 11.20 drop for the nightowls!

    • They look to be, only ordered ours a few days ago. Go to the Greenman website and under tickets you'll find the option to get an Orange car park ticket.
