Some brutal likely clashes for me this year, Mac/Caroline and Pulp/Earl & MIKE in particular.

 

My Friday is looking pretty sparse. No travesty at EOTR as I'll always stumble across something, but any recommendations given my list above?

 

EDIT: Just realised that's eleven, maths was never my strong point!

The admittedly small bits ive heard reminded me of Riley walker especially his more 'out there' live bits when I watched him. Go for the later albums and see what you think .

If Brighde Chaimbeul interests you then the obvious Friday recommendation would be Milkweed. My only question mark is how well they fill the Garden stage as they are such an obvious Boat act.

*Ryan Davis- a great example last year of how an act can turn into an eotr 'house band' . They loved the place, I loved them. Looking forward to their 3 sets.

*David Thomas Broughton -the legend comes home

*Susannah Stark - her last album was a  beguiling set of hushed Gaelic soundscapes. No idea how that will be captured live. 

*Gnod -Gnod in the Folly f**k yeah

*Marisa Anderson

*Sirom -if you have not seen Sirom before, correct this. Eastern European psych folk with dozens of instruments including the kitchen sink

*Ak'chamel

*Dave Welder- movie director Ben Wheatley makes the music you would expect movie director Ben Wheatley to make

*Milkweed

*Portraits of an Apparition-apparently they cancelled, bugger

Kurt Vile - My second most listened to on Spotify

To be fair, I've been really lucky with my clash mitigation this year:

CMAT - I'm a huge fan but I've now seen her enough times from maybe her first British set at the post-lockdown Latitude to another great set at Truck this Thursday that I can go see Mr Vile 

Prewn - I can catch at Green Man or else I'd struggle to decide on her clashes

Gans - You can't fail to enjoy a sweaty set with them and I'll be bringing my t-shirt, but following Truck I'm up to three times this year so I can go see Ms Minus

Femur at a push. Silverwingkiller can be heavy. GNOD are heavy as f**k. Kitchen Lover can rock in a punk kinda way. Ghostwoman can be heavy. Model/Actriz too.

Saw Model/Actriz at Primavera Porto at like 3am. Was amazing
