  1. That would do, provided you can fix the the Big Thief/Lankum clash. Is it a guess or do you have any insider knowledge?
  2. Which if true suggests EOTR did well to get her as recently as 2019 when she was 2nd-stage, sub-headliner level and did 57 unexpected dance moves with a table!
  3. OK then, some EOTR-related recent gig reports: The Last Dinner Party - Tix bought on a speculative whim unknowing of the "hype", but glad I did. Still a few rough edges in their live performance, but technically good, the lead has a lot of character and a good voice, the music is fun and a bit different, and the audience reacted well. Interested to see how they convert from intimate venue to the expanse of an open stage. But obviously will be packed with so little competition, and I suspect they will be a good opener. And the run TLDP, Deerhoof, Heartworms and Wilco should make a cracking Thursday. Wunderhorse - Sorry, but I was a bit disappointed. Cub was one of my favourite albums of 2022 but for me that didn't quite translate into a wonderful live performance. A bit hard to say why. Lots of little things really, not enough engagement, strange set list killing the vibe in the middle, some lack of clarity in the guitar (sound issues?). I still enjoyed and would happily watch them again, but probably not on a busy Friday at this EOTR Allison Russell - I know that technically she is not an EOTR performer but she would be a perfect fit and they should be booking her now for 2024. Her recorded stuff is good, but live it really comes alive. Joyous. Talented. Engaging. Heartwarming. Best gig of 2022 so far. And shortly an acoustic set from Hurray for the Riff Raff....
  4. Showers? At a festival? I'm confused.
  5. Yeah Teke:Teke Vs Geese is rough, but hey clashes are a sign of all round quality
  6. Thanks as it caused me to notice she has a new album! It would be great. She's been a regular on the calm and beautiful end of my listening since she pulled out from 2019 due to bad health. And yes the timing and otherwise very short UK tour length look hopeful for EOTR.
  7. The Murder Capital - Seen a few times and they never fail to exhilerate King Gizzard - Will be immense Panda Bear & Sonic Boom - Thought they were a bit naff on first listen. I was wrong. One of my current favourites Heartworms - My kind of post-punk. And I have it on good authority they're even better live TEKE:TEKE - Hope they are as fun as they appear to be Yeule - Not my usual fare, but this really grips me Arooj Aftab - Assuming she headlines the Garden, will be magical Daniel Norgren - On the strength of his live album on Spotify, not the records - give it a listen Kara Jackson - I am always a sucker for some simple singer-songwriter. As ever there are several on the lineup, but this is my favourite Scott Lavene - makes me smile every time I listen The second 10 is far from shoddy too: The Murlocs, Geese, Personal Trainer, Wilco, Deerhoof, Wunderhorse (one of my fav 2022 albums and only downgraded from the top 10 on account of seeing them a lot this summer!), Angel Olsen, Royal Otis, Charlotte Adigery, caroline
  8. Excellent work on the Clashfinder and thanks for that! I appreciate that at this stage it stretches from Holmes-eque deduction to utter guesswork, but still interesting to fill in to get a sense of the festival. And at this stage I discover I have >50 acts in green (=G0). Which is clearly unachievable, but it does mean I'm another in the "shaping up to be excellent" camp, even if the initial announcement could have a couple of extra familiar sub-headliner acts. I may get round to doing a top ten, but it will be a bit arbitrary with so much I like.
  9. So KGLW vs Ezra is my first confirmed clash. We must be getting closer. Exciting times.
  10. The Smile would be special. If they were playing the long game creating good vibes for EOTR, I might just forgive them for spoiling Sat evening '21 with classical music!!
  11. Dunno about GM but she did join them at Latitude. Squid were also very good there. And MSM was good on the piano stage in 2019.
