yeah I love alvvays but I'm not able to stretch the definition of shoegaze enough to include them in it.  Liberties have already been taken for the other bands mentioned so far.

 

The Slowdive set was so good.  And it just got better and better from start to finish.

Still lots of great stuff to see, I fully expected this to happen, and I know I'll still have an amazing festival, but I'm still a bit gutted about Idles and Fontaines DC clashing on Friday.

Strongly recommend Pengshui in the Rumshack at 01:00 on Sunday if you like heavy bass guitar riffs and drums with grime bars. Loads of fun, bound to get rowdy in there. Quite possibly the heaviest act of the weekend, to be fair

Bumping this - Osees announced a 2025 tour ending in Brighton on the 25th.

 

If they don't play Glastonbury I think I'll just give up hope for left-field guitar bands/quality psychedelia being booked anymore.

Saw them at SXSW in 2019 and it was a great afternoon so would like to see them again. 

 

Same venue had Fontaines playing in a room not much bigger than a front room and it was all on a free ticket - as long as you were prepared to queue up for 45 mins in the Austin sun.

wasn’t sure if crumbs was an expression of uncertainty , or one of the 29 albums ha, I believe it was the former.

 

does look like they have a couple of ‘singles collections’ albums in the compilations section on Spotify. Will prob dip my toe in here I reckon unless anyone suggests a better approach

Heard Termination Officer on Marc Riley tonight, sounded good, tbh I'd have assumed it had guitars anyway
