Well everyone is all sensitive about crowd size now because they dont like the notion of a small crowd at a headliner for some reason. I thought Glasto punters didnt care about those optics but I guess not.

I love it when people argue with voices from the ether

Is anywhere currently taking bets? Struggling to find anywhere

Nope, doesn't seem like it currently.

Though that's not stopping bookies issuing press releases / clickbait sites putting out articles about the "odds".

Yeah, hadn't tried that one...

Excellent. Can't beat a bit of sarcasm. Well done you. I Actually tried it myself right after I read your post and the first site that came up was William Hill. Weirdly I just checked again and it says there's no odds available now. That will teach me for trying to help.

Haha, only messing. That was the first thing I tried!

Yeah William Hill definitely were, now nothing. Odd

This is why Oasis are always in the list of likely headliners lol - some people must have thown away quite a lot of cash on them headlining over the years

Including the people, who paid for a ticket to see them last time they headlined LOL

That was in 2004 for Glasto, right?

You'd like to think if you'd saved up every year for 20+ years that you might be able to afford the ticket price. Definitely maybe.

Could Emily take a punt on Chappell? Cause thats 100,000+ in that field right now.  Easily will have to sub and no way in hell could she be on Other cause the crowd would still be bad

They'll still put her on the Other Stage at 6pm

Wouldn't surprise me if Liam is already up their sleeve as a plan B if they can't nail a more interesting rock headliner.

If anyone puts odds up I’m gonna take a punt on Liam. As you say, balances out the other two and a Morning Glory anniversary tour will be a big deal. I’d love it to be Bruce but something tells me it isn’t.

    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
