Its all subjective and all fair comment. As shown in the Kanye albums, i loved everything before Yeezus and thought Yeezus just took it that one step further - Angry Kanye mixed with a bit of Daft Punk - for me that's a pinnacle.
Certain moments in Gorillas set were glorious, unfortunately for me most of it was not. Was the first headliner at Glastonbury where i seriously stood in the field and thought "ooh its cold tonight". Could have been old age creeping in, could have been alcohol and drug induced but ill put it down to the performance 🙃
Is that for sure? You’ve got to have a great deal of sympathy of course but it’s not great. I saw Ozzie play a show in Buffalo in 2001, it’d been postponed due to some injury or whatever, so when it was rescheduled he was very clearly hobbling around the stage. So, singing Iron Man was, if you were cruel, a bit comic/tragic.
They are way too big for the Dungen stage. They played the Linne tent in 2022 and it was full, and they will have grown in popularity even more since then. They've just done an arena show.
