Being reminded why I watch Glastonbury from home nowadays...just a click of a button and you can check out the other options (albeit equally crap currently) without leaving the comfort of your armchair instead of walking 2 miles and fighting through the masses.

Can’t really explain it but this feels more like a third down Pyramid type performance as many of us were predicting rather than a sub. A bit of fun with some sing alongs but also a bit style over substance and throwaway. 

Although tbf the crowd largely seems to be enjoying themselves.

Agreed - he was never going to be everyone's cup of tea but he is talented

Third down before someone like Lizzo (then Elton) would've been perfect.

I loved their early stuff but havent listened to anything from them for years, will have to dig out the old albums and check out their newer stuff, great live band

when QOTSA went up against Beyonce, the other field was maybe half full, i left part way through to go to the loo and easily made it back in to my spot, guess it'll be something similar tonight

Dunno why they announced their tour before glasto…so many of the fans at glasto will probs but a ticket to that and see something else.

only saving grace is that they start after Elton!

Will Alt-J and Phoenix even make it to a triple figure crowd at this rate?! Never mind the smaller stages. 
QotSA and Rudimental give decent alternatives and will break up for some the crowd, but I really do feel for the other bands/artists up against them.

I get that Elton will be a monumental occasion for a number of reasons but I'll be tuning over to QOTSA myself. Their new album is a total cracker and their recent live shows look superb. I just hope they roll out Paper Machete tonight.
