We’d hit a bit of a wall Saturday or Sunday(?!) afternoon so the need was real. Was probably 20-30 mins from joining the queue to receiving our drinks. We split ourselves and some got food so maybe not as bad as it could’ve been.

Yep we often do that also if one of us sees something we fancy but the other one doesn't sometimes one of us gets food and the other just a snack to tide us over. Always carry a couple of snack to stop yourself getting hangry and making bad choices as well.

Bayou Surf and Turf at West Holts gotta be an all timer for a festival debut. Awesome stuff.

Agreed, the surf and turf there this year was fantastic, best food i had all week. the west holts area this year was tremdous for a scoff.

My kind of thread!

I was a Glastonbury regular (and regular eFests poster) until 2014, when we switched allegiance to Green Man for kid-friendliness reasons. Anyway, tickets in the bag for this year, kids now of an age to appreciate and my chops are getting into gear after a long absence.

But, please don't tell me that Manic Organic have gone? A MO breakfast was one of the things I was most looking forward to 😟

This is a favourite of mine too, they were on the left when approaching the John Peel tent from Pyramid stage, near San Remo.

I do often choose foods based on a small compromise of queue, deliciousness and ease of consumption on the hoof.

Although I do always have a tiny fishing stool, so will always have some sort of perch (past middle age I'm not standing up all day or sitting cross legged on the grass).   I even carry a spork as I often find those wooden knives and forks pretty feeble.

I like Williams Green as you can usually get a seat there. Great place to people watch and two of my favourite stalls - Dosa Deli and Roaming Rotisserie. I carry a spork too!

Glastonbury ain't about eating.

Ha! This isn’t the thread for you. Glastonbury absolutely is for eating, it’s more of a food festival than a music festival for me 😆

Normally we always queue for 1 coffee each day but this year I didn't which is a sign that the queues were a bit longer than normal. I'm not a fan of the queue.

I always make my own coffee, just as I like it and no queues

Yes we always have our own coffee as well but I did used to get a latte with breakfast if the queues weren't too long but it's not worth queueing forever for.

Any recommendations near to jp ? Seems a bit sparse in my camping neck of the woods

fuck all....hence why it was really shit staying at bath showground .....If the bar in the woods had been there then atleast it wouldve been some where to stop for a beer on the way home but it was just a long dark soulless walk to gate A haha

edit - probably why even on friday their still seemed to be plenty of space to camp around Gate A Darble field (if thats what its called)

I never tend to eat over that way so I'm guessing the options aren't wonderful although JP tends to be a place I visit a lot or not at all.

Harry Krishna tent for you then?

Where was that last year btw, seems to have floated about a bit over the last few years.  Last place I remember it was near BBC Introducing, I think

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
