Rock: RHCP

Pop: Lady Gaga

EDM: whatever

Rap: Lil Nas X

Classic act: Paul McCartney (I really doubt we're going to get a legendary artist or band, but who knows)

Another female act: Paramore

RHCP Gaga and Macca is serious ££££££

I would prefer average headliners financially and a drastic improvement on the under card.

As I'm going next year the improvement of undercard, dust issue and a bit more colour. I can live with higher food prices.

So, who would you all like to see headline next year. Not necessarily who you think will, just who you'd like.

-EDM: The Chainsmokers or Kygo

-Rap: Tyler, the Creator or Post Malone (or even Doja Cat, idk if she is big enough to headline)

-Rock: Red Hot Chili Peppers or The Strokes (or (not really rock) Gorillaz)

-Pop: Harry Styles or Lady Gaga or Coldplay or Imagine Dragons or Halsey or The Weeknd

-Other: The Weeknd, P!nk, Tame Impala (again 🥺)

Other smaller acts that I would love to see: Glass Animals, Charli XCX, Cage The Elephant, 100 gecs, Beach House, blackbear, Chet Faker, Foals, Diplo, Fisher, Foster The People, Girl in Red, Madness, Kaytranda, Keane, Khaid, Mac DeMarco, The Kooks, Of Monsters and Men, Pond, Two Door Cinema Club (Basically all the stuff I listen to that I did not see live yet)

The undercard is what puts me off going to sziget again - its not cheap and it feels like basically everywhere else is better value unless you really like at least 3 of the headliners.

Just so everyone knows, it seems that Reading/Leeds festival (25-27 August) headliners are :

BILLIE EILISH, GREENDAY, SAM FENDER, PARAMORE, KSI, FOALS

Everyone on their forum seems to believe their leaker, so...

Billie Eilish would fit Sziget IMO, and I personnaly hope that Paramore can be there 😇

Happy October everyone ! @Sziget2023_Leaks, any infos or clues you're free to share ??

So far we have this "see you soon!" image that could mean nothing, or maybe Coldplay.

We heard that Billie Eilish will headline Reading/Leeds festival, which takes place very close to Sziget. Same for GreenDay (I think their others headliners have no chance to headline Sziget : Sam Fender, Foals, KSI and Paramore).

And for the other news "non related" to Sziget :

P!nk will be at Werchter Boutique in June, so unlikely for Sziget ; Muse will headline Rock Werchter

Beyonce might have 2 dates in Italy end of June

I think Coldplay and Beyonce would be 'statement of intent' bookings - we're a massive festival and we can attract the biggest names.

This time last year, Sziget Prime tickets were just about to go on sale. Wonder when they'll appear this year? I'm still wearing my socks!

I reckon we'll be looking at the beginning of November. Suspect the survey feedback will mean a few changes/improvements are needed to entice people back in 2023 and they'll need to be paid for. I can hear the rapid tap-tapping of calculators at Sziget HQ.

Do we have the results somewhere?

"Uhm... I guess we can increase the ticket price by another solid 20%... Remove another day... decrease the festival ground by another 40%... you know what, Béla, - just thinking  -  we could just open a casino, that would mean more revenues, right?"

Foals/Fender could definitely sub a UK based day e.g. Liam Gallagher or someone as a strong support. Similar to Catfish did with Florence in 2019 / Fender did for AM before he pulled out

No results that I'm aware of - and I suspect they probably won't make them public.

From my p.o.v I said

- food prices were ridiculous and the quality average

- they should've planned far better for the dust

- final day on main stage was a disaster

- lack of decoration made it look like any other average festival

- line-up was average at best

- booking Bieber was embarrassing for a festival seeking any significant credibility.

I highly doubt the feedback form will have any input at all, same with when you fill in band suggestion forms.

The organisers would know the issues from this years festival.

Personally think the food prices had to go up, it certainly had to be at a more professional level. 2019 and before people were getting food poisoning due to the lack of food hygeine at the festival. That had to improve.

For me all that needs to change and improve is the dust issue, I stopped going near the main stage after 6pm last couple of days.

Better lineup, especially the A38. I would not as big headliners, so the money is spent elsewhere. That being said I am sure its the big headliners that get the ticket sale.

Bit more colour.

Other than that, not much improvement needs to be made.

Yep, I guess that is more of an engagement tool rather than an interested survey. It screams "we heard your outrage, we are here to hear you out".

The problems with this edition were out in the open from far before the fest started: I know it, you know it, the organization knows it. Yet, anybody I met that was "not festival seasoned" was enthusiastic about the whole setting (poor souls, they just did not know what it used to be).

Sziget should and will do something about logistic (i.e. sand), but they will not do a thing about A) prices B) music quality, because:
A) Higher prices are needed to keep the festival profitable;

B) The people that actually attends the festival, those who pay, was collectively okay with the music selection.

Now, some of us might argue that Sziget should care for a better critics judgement and should remain true to its word about inclusivity, etc., but we all know from the beginning that this is an organization for profit, and this formula is the winning one at the time being, so they will stick with it.

For what its worth. I don’t think the surveys or forums make any difference what so ever. They will know on the previous year’s ticket sales on what is best and this will include  Justin who just about sold out(I left after 4songs) They will book a mixture based on what sales and the costs rather than being a hip festival. They will get a few arena acts, a stadium act and one DJ act that they can pick 7 from that are big names but cheaper than a band. The A38 needs a huge improvement in my opinion.  I am not sure on what the 6/3 day ticket sales are like compared to the day ones but they will also know who is touring and put a big act in every second day to sale the 6 day ones and slot in a few area acts like Kings and Tame in-between. This will get there 6/3 day ticket sales done as you are only paying a extra few quid for the days you may not want to see anyone.

Drinks out with the Lager are far too expensive and they need to lower food prices as it was about 20 quid for a decent bit food. You could get a decent meal in town for that but they have you over a barrel if your hungry. I was fine on beer but the rest were on Vodka or Gin and it was not cheap at all.

Toilets, colour and signs need updated band apart from that it was really good with a crap line up.

We rarely, if ever, eat fast food at home but we started visiting Burger King in the city before setting off for the festival. Was costing us about £17 to feed a family of five there as opposed to £70 at the festival. I hated doing it but the money saved paid for the beer for the day.

We all drank beer at £3 a can until my daughter asked for a Vodka and Red Bull and I almost fainted when it was about £11. Not sure what it costs in the UK but that was the only drink I bought her that day!

Well, I think A38/Freedome had one of the best line-ups so far. I mean, Caribou, Woodkid, Jon Hopkins, Fontaines D.C, Tokimonsta, Bob Moses, Kid Francescoli, Badbadnotgood, Yung Lean (still crying due to his cancellation), Inhaler, Iceage, Tourist, Jungle, Slowthai, Beabadoobee...

This is the line to follow

it's a matter of taste. To me, it was very weak. Just compared to 2019 with Yungblud, Chvrches, Coheed & Cambria, Of Mice & Men , Kodaline, Razorlight, Idles, ... yep, 2022' A38 suck lol.

The festival did certainly lean towards less guitar music in there this year.

it's cheaper... i'm afraid they'll keep on going with that 😞  Bands with all their stuff cost more.

it makes me think about their question "would you like more edm-techno music in he future 😄  ??" .... hey, we''re not stupid, we know what you are trying to do guys .... fuck u
