As many on here will know (and be bored to read again), I've been going since 1985 and have built up a great set of festival friends (some I know from outside as well), most of whom still go. It's like an annual gathering for us. In many ways the build up is just as much fun as the event.

I have made lots of friends from here on efests and childhood friends who after having families and growing apart I only get to see there so yeah it's a great get together in that respect.

Looking at the thingy, we normslly have 3 areas sometimes 4 by the end of April.

We have 2. So not too far "behind" esp if one arrives today / tomorrow

Nothing today as it's the accom resale.

I expect Tues 2nd May it kicks off with the area posters and we'll get 3 a week until Tues 30th May when we get the full thing.

So assuming this year follows the same number of individual announcements (17) with the full lineup at the end of May, we still have 14 areas to be announced. There are 21 days between now and the end of May - not including the rest of today or bank holidays and weekends.

If my maths is right that means an announcement every 1.5 days or so.

Still complete radio silence from GHQ I see? Not sure I suspect any issues with bookings or similar but it feels odd. Especially around resale time. Feels like there’s always something around that time.
