We're getting very close now! This is what the 00Z has to tell us...

MONDAY & TUESDAY

Completely dry today, and then the threat of some heavy rain between 3am and 6am on Tuesday.

But there is now essentially NO RAIN during the day on Tuesday, which effectively gives a whole day of drying for any rain that comes.

In the previous run the rain came in the morning, now it's overnight - and that makes a marked difference for the effect on the site and the drying conditions - with Tuesday being 21 degrees.

Even if the overnight rain into Tuesday is heavy, the dry site and the drying Tuesday would mean there should be nothing to worry about.

WEDNESDAY

Completely dry for gates open, temps of 19.

During the day on Wednesday there is, as in recent runs, the threat of 0.5mm of rain. That is so small that even if it comes to pass it would be like walking past a sprinkler system.

Temps of 21-22.

Temps overnight into Thursday: 13-14

THURSDAY

Completely dry, highs of 22-23.

Temps overnight into Friday: 12-14

FRIDAY

Completely dry, highs of 22-23

Temps overnight into Saturday: 13-14

image.thumb.png.5ea2250d7a280a0da0ee3109d5682b47.png

SATURDAY

Completely dry, highs of 24-25.

Temps overnight into Sunday: 13-15

image.thumb.png.08a447e9dff9b03766b976b21e16490f.png

SUNDAY

Completely dry, highs of 25-26

Still 22-23 for Elton.

Temps overnight into Monday: 15

image.thumb.png.6dccb1a2c28dc1487a52b663b7923fc5.png

SUMMARY

With the possible heavy rain now arriving in the early hours of Monday this is a small UPGRADE - given the whole of Tuesday for drying.

By Saturday now the position of the build of the high pressure is almost identical between the two runs.

We're nearly there, people! Fingertastic!

Are we really going to have four back to back dry festivals? Pinch me, I’m dreaming

Beem back to back dry since 17, but there hasn't been a fest 2 years in a row since then, so maybe this is indeed unique

Next to nothing, according to my app!

The midnight run of the U.K. Met Office model is predicting an inch of rain to fall on the site tomorrow.   The Canadian GEM is predicting the same.   If this were to come off, it would definitely cause some issues.  The hard ground at the moment would cause the water to collect in low lying spots causing local flooding.  The German ICON also has the heavy rain but predicts more than an inch just to the east of the site.     As this is thundery rain, there’s no way to predict with accuracy where the heaviest rain will fall, but the possibility is there.  Fingers crossed.

An inch would cause an issue? Come off it now Steve, the games up.

Dreading it is pretty strong, but my enthusiasm is pretty much gone for the weekend.

I am gunna sign off from here now as reading this over and over is not going to make things better. I am determined to enjoy myself & replying to every comment isnt going to help.

Thanks to @Sheffield Steve @Alvoram & @briddj for their updates. Even though I havent seemed as appreciative as others have!

I hope everyone has a top week.

Look after yourself, and each other

See you in the desert!
