+1 to this. Beautiful guitarist, perfect Saturday morning vibes

Looking like she’ll have quite a crowd! Bit gutted that she clashes with the conversation with Pete Paphides but have to watch her. Was slightly obsessed with her album all through lockdown.

English Teacher

1130h, Friday, JPT (first JPT band of the festival)

Indie/post-punk, but much more interesting than most of the identikit bands in that genre. RIYL black midi etc.

One of my best finds of the festival so far. Cannot wait.

Ben

Then Kae Tempest on the Other Stage? That’s one of my preferred options for the start of Friday as well!

Didn't know how I was starting the Friday until I looked up Ziggy Marley's likely setlist 🇯🇲

I was the same but Kae and Ziggy overlap and Kae is my earliest must see and I worry that the best of Ziggy would be when I would have to leave. Why can’t the Pyramid stage start earlier??

+2 Hadn't heard of her before the lineup, but have been playing her songs a lot. Watched some of her videos too, very talented. Is that a kind of harp she plays at the same time?

Cheers for the responses. Good stuff. I thought someone on here recommended WH Lung, but must've been on another thread. Anyway, been getting on that.

Really excited to see Squid, Confidence Man, Amyl.

Second WH Lung listened to them a while ago and they are in a nice schedule gap so I will be there!

(I am enjoying the fact that quite some of the names so far are the ones I noted down after discovering them through listening. We have such great taste on this forum!)

BTW English Teacher has multiple sets!

So they have!

And whilst the BBC set is not really any use to me, nipping into Strummerville after Bonobo and before Four Tet might work beautifully! Although I was also thinking of a bit of Jon Hopkins on the Spider en route from West Holts. 🤔

Thanks!

Ben
