Not sure. The source just says that he was up for it and then changed his mind.

Would have been extraordinary. I'd have loved to see half the packed field look at one another after 5 mins and gone "what the hell is this??".

Ben

It would be awesome to see him do such a showpiece. I've only seen him live once, at Sonar, and my mind melted... but that was a single club-like stage, albeit with unreal video. A spider set would be incredible, potentially a proper moment to remember - but also a bit of a depature for RDJ.

I was literally in the process of searching the line-up for other changes when you posted this. We must both have noticed it at the same time.

I think so, can't see another Thursday slot that would fit. I watched them on there in 2017, very enjoyable

Likewise …  tempted by a few of them tbh … might be my go to for a couple … I best limit it to twice though

Lose yourself? Don't miss a thing? Imagine if Eminem and Aerosmith are playing on some crazy new area along with Arcade Fire, Orbital, Arctic Monkeys along with all the other crazy assumptions we love to make??

If I managed to catch them all I'd say that would easily make this my best year (weather permitting).

The park slot I reckon it’s Pete Doherty   , because when I saw him a few weeks ago I was talking to Pete after the gig , and he told me he is supposed to be playing the park stage ,he is not on the line up , so if he is playing it’s a secret gig

A big week if this is true. And all the people expecting AF there 😁

The Libertines are opening the festival.

    • I thought some time back that I could see Get Down Services getting a slot in Woodsies
    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
    • Loads of people have to listen to music they don't like all day, while at work!   Not much different.
    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
