For example Jack White this year, a long time follower of the account got in touch, wouldnt put any info down in writing, I had to ring them up, they wanted to give something back after using the account previously, they had rock solid info but wouldnt give it to us unless we promised not to tweet out until the day so we had to sit on it for 11 days, but I more than heavily hinted it on here.

i think you would still get the info if it were on here although maybe not in the same quantity ? maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing ? takes the pressure off you guys somewhat ....

Secretglasto was never for eFests in the time I've been involved. It's always been the other way round - eFests giving something to the wider community via the Twitter account.

Then there's the thread on here, which actually costs me a little bit of money to pay for a shared gold account, the night before the festival started it had every single secret we knew about posted on here for everyone to see.

I'm sorry for making it seem like there was some exclusively by asking for tips to be DMd, it's the first year that we've started to get significant direct info ahead of the festival and coupled with the huge increase of followers, it's increasingly concerning about causing a crush. However, it's obviously a folly to try to contain the information - every single set we were worried about got out there despite our efforts to control the timing.

The fact is, SecretGlasto is fairly irrelevant for the big secrets - they got out before we existed and usually become public knowledge long before we tweet them out.  And have always been on this forum for all to see anyway.

It's still of value for some of the smaller acts and for the general public who aren't heavily into social media. Those tweets do still help some people out, some of the time.

Anyway, we all know it's all about the Chris Martin jokes.
