Pinhead
Says that Oxfam Stewards will be there to assist - anyone closer to the Oxfam Festivals team there know if they are planning to open those to regular festival stewards...? Pinhead
I wonder whether there is a danger here tho of a number of rowdy groups using this as an excuse to have a big piss up at the site just to say they 'did Glasto' in 2021... I suspect there will be enough security to take care of it. Too much at stake with the “family” push on the marketing. They will have rightly anticipated the knob heads who no doubt will show up in limited numbers.
westholtschic
I know Festival Medical Services are hopefully doing the medical cover for the site.

Homer
Already due to be in Glastonbury 6th to 8th August anyway; going to a festival the weekend before then Cornwall for the week and stopping in on the way back. Hopefully will be able to drop in and check it out. Though think I'll stick with my mate's spare room in the village over a tent!
Pinhead
Prseumably you cant just visit the campsite tho unless you have a tent there..

Pinhead
Beginning almost to sound like a regular festival set up 😉 Its quite tempting, especially after not being on the beautiful farm last year and with only this as the option this year. Somehow though, having been there for the festival for so many years, I wonder if I've become so tuned to that context of being there, that I would find it tough to adjust to any other, such as it being just a campsite... My concern is I would start to get bored, start drinking heavily and then turn into one of the people they clearly don’t want there!
giantkatestacks
The idea is to use it as a holiday base though isnt it - not to just sit about and drink surrounded by toddlers. We holidayed in Somerset last year as well at another campsite so have a list of stuff we didnt get round to.
dirtysteve
Silly question perhaps but... any idea if the tents are limited to the stated number of people? I mean, I’m thinking of booking for me and my two boys, 12 and 6, so that’s 3 people but there’s no way we need the 4-berth Bell Tent, miles too big and needless expense, the 2-berth Scout Tent would do us fine and is actually bigger than the tent we all pile into for festivals! If parents with small children are forced to buy bigger or multiple tents than they need, that’d suck.

Aye - feels like the clientele might be an odd blend of wholesome families and folk hellbent on reliving past glories when they've taken it right off the fucking dial.

Its a big jump between the 2 person scout tent and a bell tent and there is nothing in between.
giantkatestacks
Yes with me, partner and the (young teen) daughter I would have gone for 2 x scouts instead but without a cast iron guarantee that we would be next door thats undoable. SheffJeff
Thought I must have dreamt it but realised there's another worthy farm thread. @Earth_pig posted a 20% discount code yeaterday just in anyone hadn't realised there were 2 threads so hadn't seen this: 20% off the ticket price from the Guardian code is GDNEMAIL20
CaledonianGonzo
I think that's for the live stream, not for the camping.

That makes sense, thought it was too good to be true... there's no place for a discount code on the worthy farm camping page anyway I've just realised.
