I was going to have an early night as only had a couple of hours sleep since yesterday morning. But I don't think I can now... Great speech. Sounded like a leader.

Only surprise is that this hasn't happened at others - if they get in they'll destroy the ballots.

Its definitely starting...

That was my opinion earlier, a little fire would do it and won't put it past anyone tbh

Biden isn’t a massive personality, not extreme in anyway. Possibly a little dull.

However he is safe and dependable and not polarising at all. Exactly what the country needs.

And he’s not Trump.

That Biden speech ranks up there with all time Presidential speeches like the one from Independence Day.

Not seen Independence Day so don't know whether you're joking.

It was some old school posturing and could have been written by Obama. But it also came across as the equivalent of his 'Shut up man' retort in the first debate.

But let's not get carried away here because record numbers of people have gone out and voted for *Trump*. So even though Biden will/has won, nothing is as it seems anymore and a speech that sounds great to his base will infuriate Trump's even though he thinks he's doing/saying the right things.

I like that he is low key. The last thing America needs right now is another shouty president. Biden seems like he has a clue on how to lead responsibly. And for the public, not himself.

You've not seen the original Independence Day film!? I was joking but that film and speech is amazing.

True leaders don’t need to have a massive personality. Theyre supposed to be almost invisible and be there when you need em. Even W with all his antics and buffonary had a damn heart when shit hit the fan. You could count on one hand how many presidents were seen as not dull at all. Most people just wanted 45 to shut the fuck up, but he can’t do that so its a total shitshow. We got spoiled with Obama having his finger on the pulse plus being a great speaker.

anyway, MICHIGAN!!! Woooo

Election comissions will have heightened security for sure. The danger in Michigan is that its an open carry state. So youll see those bearded douchebags with their rifles walking around. Even last night when the head of elections for Milwaukee was gathering the tabulations she had 3 armed guards around her and then was taken by police escort to deliver the numbers.

as much as we might see echoes of 2000 here, the koch brothers are not going to be able to stop this. No hand counting in this case and search for hanging chads.

    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
