MrZigster
How did I manage to miss Future Man? Four episodes in and loving it.
Ayrshire Chris
About to start, for the umpteenth time, Auf Wiedersehen Pet from The first series in Germany and on to Derbyshire, Spain, USA, Cuba and the special in Cambodia. Reckon if I was on mastermind this would be my specialist subject. But before that I will rewatch Julien Temples Glastonbury!
philipsteak
Just spotted that Brockmire is back for a fourth (and final) season. I thought it had been cancelled. Hank Azaria is a bitter, washed up baseball commentator who had a meltdown live on air and is making his come back. But it's so much more and so much better than that sounds. Very very funny. And the first episode of the 4th season has taken a very odd turn
Bisque
Accidentally ended up watching all of the second series of Sunderland ‘Till I Die last night.

Is Cuba worth revisiting? That’s the one I know least.

Is Cuba worth revisiting? That’s the one I know least. Yes, I quite like the Cuba episodes. Obviously the actors have become better known and the series loses a bit of gritty raw realism. Oz becomes involved with a ballet dancer which doesn’t really fit in with the character we know. Bomber wasn’t well during the filming so doesn’t appear much. Moxey has lost his stutter! One good line is when Neville puts on a Man U shirt as he is undercover as a spy. He looks at a picture of Sir Bobby Robson and says ‘ please forgive me sir bobby, I know not what I do’ Edited May 17, 2020 by Ayrshire Chris
northernringo
Not a programme as such but I recently came across a video of George Harrison, Roger McGuin, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Eric Clapton on stage together singing My Back Pages: It was fantastic so I did a little research into the 30th anniversary concert itself and the setlist was incredible. Recently got the dvd on eBay for a fiver and watched the near 3 hour show over the weekend. It was absolutely fantastic. George Harrison, Stevie Wonder, Johnny and June Cash, Lou Reed, Eddie Vedder, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Ronnie Wood and many others all singing some Bob Dylan classics. Bob sang a few too but sadly even in 1992 his voice was nothing like what it was in the 60s/70s. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

Also agree about Julia- don’t understand why she’s popular at all. I liked Ana Lucia character back when I first watched it and still do to this day, I don’t understand why she was unpopular! Also Mr Eko was one of my favourites. Locke’s character and the actor who plays him, are also great Mr Eko was great! Daniel Faraday I thought was brilliant too! The Constant is the best episode! Honestly I could watch that over and over! I really like Benjamin Linus too I also didn't like Juliette at all This reminds me, I wanna watch Revolution again! That could have been so good, but it got cancelled after like 2 series, I think?? Too much of the sword fighting but the story was gunna be great I thought.. shame it never got finished

My opinions of characters have completely changed rewatching it, most particularly Mr. Eko. I thought he was just a bit part character plonked in with a lot of the tailies but... how I was wrong. Perhaps first time round watching it I was having a few tins with friends Season 3 & not paying it proper attention. Binge watched second series of Formula 1: Drive to Survive. That must have cost a fortune to make & the depth they get into behind the scenes at times made me think... how? Brilliant. I'm not a sports man at all, but I absolutely loved this. Incredible that they had so much locker room/backstage footage from almost his entire career, and really did a great job at painting him as some kind of larger than life figure. Had me very invested and on the edge of my seat for these basketball games that happened 20+ years ago now.

Just finished this, loved it. Much better sports injection than watching any of the current crowd less sports. Followed it up with another shorter Michael Jordan doc about his time being a baseball player when he helped coach a basketball team win a game. My mate who had no idea about The Bulls individusl stories was hooked. My only slight gripe, it should hsve shown whst they went on to achieve post 98. Esp Steve Kerr. Not sure why I'd forgotten about them til this rewatch. I like how Benjamin gets a pummelling every episode😂 I'd forgotten about Revolution! I was really excited about it, but seem to remember being a bit disappointed - I think I was hoping they'd show much more of the immediate aftermath of the loss of electricity, but instead they leapt ahead to horses and medieval style villages
Bisque
I hope you don’t mind me posting this... In Game of Thrones, what happens to the faceless man character? Frank in Lost is great, he seems to be the only character that hasn’t done anything bad to be on the island.

(Or Henry Gale - depending on where you're up to. My grandad actually called his cat Henry after watching that episode of lost when he pretened to be Henry, not really sure why ) Yeah I agree, I think there was too much of that in Revolution and too much of the endless sword fighting in every episode. But the story could have been really good! I was so excited at the end of season 2 (before it got cancelled) when they were walking towards some big sign and it started flashing! ah well nevermind! (there is every chance tho that I'm thinking it was a lot better than it was!) Would like to rewatch them two seasons tho just to be sure
