Live so close to peterborough, yet, somehow most of cambridgeshire has managed to keep infections down for a bit. Cambridge itself is rapidly rising though

Good going keeping the numbers down. My area has stayed in tier 2 which was expected.

There's no good going tbh, we are just a sparse rural set of towns

And Cambridge has started spiking rapidly with christmas shopping so I think we are just lucky to live in a less populated place, it will get worse though

What do we think the chances are of having concerts and day "festivals" in the summer, but not normal camping festivals?

Like surely something like All Points East or BST Hyde Park would be much easier to do than Glastonbury

This is what I've been assuming for a while. I'm not personally sure it makes a difference but festivals are seen by non attendees as the height of unsanitary conditions, and it's such people who'll make the decisions

I'm sure that's true but it's also true that the risk is greater at long duration events, so there would be some scientific justification.

I've actually got to the point where i've started double booking on some dates, at least earlier in the year. Like I've booked tickets for a concert and a day festival in London, both during Primavera Sound which I also have tickets for. But i'm less confident about Primavera happening than the other two. If all happen, i'll just have to sell some...

Thought so, thanks.

Surrey into tier 3 has just fucked my Xmas plans. 😭

You aren't allowed to go to hospitality with your Christmas bubble anyway as I understand it, and definitely not in tier 2 (and obviously you can't in tier 3).

Unless you were planning to go with your household extension bubble of one adult, which I assume would have been allowed.
