This is exactly why people need to stop peddling the line of 'lets just vaccinate the vulnerable and crack on'.

It's partly why they'll probably keep some restrictions in place for a bit once the vulnerable have been vaccinated to ensure that people that fall just below that threshold and others can be protected whilst they monitor the impacts the vaccine has had with the virus spread.

Do you think it will take several years to vaccinate the adult population?

The entire adult population maybe into 2022 (if they even do everyone)

but even if they tried to obv not every person would have it for various reasons. Therefor there will be people getting covid and people getting long covid - it’s something we need to live with as a society.

"About 11.5% of participants reported experiencing fatigue five weeks after infection, with 11.4% reporting a cough and 10.1% citing headaches. Fever, muscle aches, diarrhoea, and loss of taste and smell were among a long list of other symptoms..."

I see "long covid" as the people who can't get out of bed weeks later or have symptoms that badly affect their lives. Not a cough, or headaches. That all needs a lot more context.

Between this sort of thing and the new strain I've got a funny feeling 2021 might not be much different to 2020....

The world isn't going to keep in lockdown over those symptoms...

Its a Christmas miracle!

The vials contain enough for 7.5 doses when diluted but are rated for 5 doses, there may be some loss as the syringe is emptied of air so I guess that is why they supply extra, if they are careful they may well get 7 doses from a vial. On the other hand if the vial contains any particulates they have to be discarded so there may be some loss there depending on how good (or bad) the production is.

good luck at convincing Spaffer with that. 😛

What's going to happen isn't what you or I think should happen, but what a bunch of tory MPs think should happen.

Like it or not, it looks like most restrictions will be gone in the spring.

my guess it that if any move downwards, it won't be Manc, and it'll be just one from tier three and just one from tier two ... just to dangle the carrot that it is possible to move downwards.

Liverpool, so they can praise their mayor for complying again (and get in another dig at Burnham?).
