In other news, Brazil confirmed 35 thousand new COVID cases. In one single day. Total number of infected is 923,189

It does show a level of testing that we aren't doing. Are they going door to door essentially to do that? The scientists could get all the data they need from there on asymptomatic cases etc if so

It's probably more than that tbh. They've done zero lockdown and the president is nuts

Geez. Glad he’s not hurt.

I find it all a bit strange the government praising Rashford for his actions with school meals when it was the government that was preventing it in the first place.

Guess that’s Cummings’ script for today (along with the ‘good to see the PM back fighting fit’ that all the Tories said during PMQs).

It would be stranger still if they proudly said they were uncaring c**ts out of step with public opinion. :P

Ha. Very true. I get your point but it’s so frustrating to see when they can literally do it but refused then shamelessly congratulate the campaigner afterwards.

Is it really any different that all those people who voted for the tories the last few elections then had the cheek to clap for NHS workers and put up all those messages of how much they value NHS staff?

Some people are just shameless!

    • New Overmono album is... just good for me. Had high hopes which were later dashed a bit after listening to some of the singles but they brought me back around enough to appreciate some very nice work in there. https://music.apple.com/ie/album/pure-devotion/1894298100
    • I don't really worry about headliners (unless there's a real possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime artist landing for it) but I'm starting to feel a bit cold on the names floating around bar Fontaines.  Harry Styles and Sam Fender, I can see the value and commercially speaking, they've earned it.  Sabrina Carpenter is obviously popular enough to do it - but after she's headlined everywhere else and done Coachella earlier this year, is it not just a bit predictable to follow what other festivals have done?
    • Bollocks to “safe” headliners, bollocks to the masses. Get interesting, get risky, challenge people.
    • The Cure would be a dream, I can definitely see them doing a second run of festivals they may have missed this year and they seem the definitive Latitude act  If they do festivals next year maybe The Strokes could be a shout? Im stunned either them or Kings of Leon haven't played yet This is a great shout for names, youre right that CMAT is taking a year out though - we're like to know more in the autumn when festivals start making announcements  The only other act I'd really love to see is Idles headline the tent
