What about FKA Twigs as an headliner would be something different. Her new songs are sounding great

Would be a dream for me but I reckon every festival will want her next year and EotR might be a bit low down her list.

Let's hope the bizarre decision by Q to name Michael Kiwanuka's drab performance as the best live show of the year doesn't mislead the bookers into thinking that's the way to go this year.

I thought Kiwanuka was fantastic, and I'd love to see more soul music at EOTR. Durand Jones & The Indications would be a great bet.

I think I'm predicting Angel Olsen / Big Thief / Caribou

Really struggle to imagine Big Thief as headliners. Not because they're not good enough or big enough, I just can't see them carrying the Woods stage given their lack of stage presence on the Garden and Tipi on previous visits.

I've been listening to this band called Black Belt Eagle Scout who would make a great Garden stage band, although they don't appear to have toured outside of the USA yet so may be too soon.

I think Sports Team will be a shoe-in for a Big Top slot...haven't seem them live personally but I hear they're great fun, and the kids sure love them.

I love the sound Black Belt Eagle Scout make - a random find for me and I thought I was the only person in the country who had heard of her, but yes she would be perfect at EOTR. She said on her Facebook that she is coming to the UK in 2020, but I don't know when or how big a tour.

Her album was listed on Pitchfork's 'best rock albums of 2019' so she's most likely gained a few fans in the past week or so.

Wilco probably won’t play as their appearance at Black Deer is a South of England exclusive.

Angel Olsen makes sense to headline. Like to see Richard Dawson, Alex G, Duster, Modern Nature, Big Thief, Moon Duo and Omni play.

When will first announcement be ?

I reckon there's a good chance that William Doyle will play EOTR 2020. Just a hunch.

I asked him on Instagram the other week and he said he'd love to, and surely he'd be in their plans as he's played before plus he seems to attend every year anyway.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
