Earlier the Austrian Frequency Festival posted this (translated with Google): "What happens to Line Up Phase 2? Because some international acts have decided to announce their shows for 2020 (incl. FQ20) only in the new year, we have to move Line Up Phase 2 (incl. Announcement video) with a heavy heart - probably at the end of January. "

I think next week we can expect a big tour announcement. Eminem or someone else?

They announced that they'll have to postpone the headliner(s) announcement on the 9th of December.

What's interesting is that RHCP announced Frusciante coming back somewhere around the 15th of December.

Could it be RHCP because Frusciante's return? I guess we'll find out soon.

I'd only take Easy Life and Jade Bird from that list.

I forgot to edit my post and add Foals, Stereophonics, Supergrass and Primal Scream when you quoted me. :D Maybe you would take some of these too!

Maybe they cancelled the RHCP dates that weren't announced and are replacing them with a band from their record label or something?

As an old fart who doesn't listen to EDM I'm amazed to realise how many of them I've heard of.

18 in total, which is about 15 more than I expected to know.

I also heard of some of them... saw their names on other posters. :)

No tour seems to be the consensus on the Reading forum

    • I wonder if they had that vote again they'd vote differently, seeing how successful other mayors like Burnham have been?
    • Doesn't surprise me. West Yorkshire had a vote if they wanted a mayor in 2012 and voted no. The government then ignored the vote and announced the position anyway in 2016.

    • Also agree, it does feel that there isn’t much between the Mercury Prize and the Brit Awards these days.   This part sums it up for me “The complaint isn’t so much about the quality of the music, but more the disappearance of spaces for outsider voices in British music. With streaming algorithms feeling increasingly geared towards big names, and social media acting as a minefield, the Mercury’s pivot to the mainstream closes another door in the face of creative independence.”
