The Selena Gomez rumor... ? From these I'd say Billie Eilish, if they were smart enough to book her ASAP last year.

Tbf Liam Gallagher and his big announcement was pre-spoiled by the man himself. But it is still puzzling that's a big festival with £235 tickets on the bubble and only Liam announced. For some people, that's still a good starter but it is quite late in the day for nothing to be announced.

As for Lowlands, presumably that'll give us an indication as to who's still about.

I don't hate that line up and would probably see Eminem, Liam and Calvin. Would be gutted if they go for Bon Iver over someone like The Killers to finish it off.

I really think that in a 7 days festival, Bon Iver has all the legitimacy to headline.

The Killers instead of a second EDM act would be perfect, especially closing the festival.

I would definitely keep the 2 EDM ( Calvin Harris is good, Amin Van Buuren is godlike 🤩 ) but I also really want The Killers or The Strokes to be there ... which means ... Shawn Mendes, please get the F... outta here 🤣

Think we'll have to agree to disagree on the Bon Iver point. Their appeal escapes me but appreciate that others rate them.

Two EDM headliners does seem like overkill and I wonder whether one is someone like Chemical Brothers who, although can be classed at EDM, play all their own stuff rather than just DJing.

Headliners are of course very important.. but I realise I spend most of my time to the undercard, whatever festival I am at. Artists like George Ezra, Ava Max, Jimmy Eat World, Keane, etc... stuff that everybody can listen to is my highest hope ^^

Personally agree with prediction but possibly the chainsmokers instead of armin Van buuren? Think major lazer could definitely be there as well

I would much prefer Taylor - a back catalogue of bangers. IMHO, Billie has a couple of fantastic tracks and then a dozen dreary ones.

The two are entirely different though and, if Shawn Mendes is there, I can't see Taylor being there too.

Haha, I'm not an insider, so I don't know anything. However I have some friends who are partners with Sziget. Last year they told me about Foo Fighters and 21 Pilots about a month before the announcement and two years ago they told me about Gorillaz few days before. This time I asked about RHCP and the answer was "we don't know anything this time, it might be possible though".

Just it seems to me that Taylor is more "available" on the circuit this year than Billie.. Billie seems to only be doing a few shows from what I've heard whereas Taylor seems to be the big name of the year and is headlining big festivals. (Glasto, opener etc)

Personally think would make more sense for them to book her given that billie was kind of the hit of last season, so booking her would kind of make them a step behind the current trend in my opinion (to be honest though Sziget just seem a step behind this year in general, lets see if they have anything special up their sleeves)

Originally I thought Coldplay were a contender however judging by the progress we have made determining szigets line up so far this year (aka none) I definitely think they are ruled out at this point. If they had a name as big as Coldplay, I reckon it would have been pushed out straight away (like ed Sheeran was).

I reckon R&L will be sharing the headliners with sziget as with last year. I would reckon the crossover would be:

Liam Gallagher/Foals coheadline

Eminem

The Killers

Then Sziget will have 4 more of its own headliners, including the supposed 2 EDM acts, Taylor swift and Shawn Mendes.

Don't think that forms a particularly strong line up personally though.

I don't really agree, they can book Billie Eilish and then promote her as the winner of 5 Grammy Awards this year and also being the first woman and youngest ever person to win the main four Grammy categories.

Totally. Everyone wants billie this year, she is an even hotter property in 2020 than she was in 2019. This year any festival that books her she will headline and she will sell a bucket of tickets.
