I'm taking my 3 year old's mycarrypotty.

My 3 year old is not coming. He will have to manage without his travel potty for a week

(Edited to add, this is solely for middle of the night tent wees, I'm not planning on carrying it about with me for a cheeky squat in the middle of the pyramid crowd!)

I seriously did wonder!

In 2011 me and the Mrs camped next to a friendly bunch of younguns on Pennards, seemed decent enough aside from the fact that they dropped all rubbish where they stood/sat until it was thigh high on Monday when they left.

That was compounded by a dome tent that they'd all been using to shit in, and very kindly left the door open to on departure.

kinel that is extreme.

Going to the trouble of planning to be a filthy POS for the week :(

I understand that the message has to be a simple, non ambiguous, "no peeing on the land" but there must be a huge difference is peeing in the hedges next to the streams and emptying a Lenor bottle in the middle of a grass field where it will drain slowly and filter?

I think the toilet provisions have got lots better - only issue I see is the Pyramid when it's packed out (Dolly Parton etc). Often thought they should just run a giant urinal trough down the side of the walls on the right facing stage!

No. There isn't. Either way it ultimately ends up in the water table.

And for fucks sake, who's emptying an emergency night bottle onto a grass field? The idea is pretty fucking simple - take said bottle with you when you use the facilities in the morning, and empty it into the toilet like a normal person.

the toilets at the back of WH are often full and lead to people pissing on the fences around them.

the toilets at Pennards/The Park/Stonebridge are far too small, and any time it's busy at The Park stage or Stonebrdige, there's people pissing in the hedges around it, or on the sides itself, as the queues are massive.

I've said it multiple times before but if GFL were actually that worried about the impacts, they'd have more urinals. obviously they want it done as little as possible, but I think it's within acceptable levels so they don't bother shelling out for more toilet facilities.

I was hoping the fallow year might provide an opportunity for some development on this front but it appears not ... although someone did mention an extra block in the park

oh yes, I see on the map that there's now toilets in The Park near where the ribbon tower is. Definitely needed.

It doesn’t help when loads of blokes seem to find it acceptable to fill up the urinals that do exist with empty cans and cups.

Can't remember which festival or outdoor gig I've seen this at, but it worked surprisingly well. The fences at the front of The Other Stage are the worst for people pissing up against. They should just line the whole thing with a trough

... absolutely goes without saying and for those that struggle at night after a few .... dont forget the pledge everyone read thoroughly and signed in the terms and conditions on Tday .... and for those that make it too the urinals and piss against the wall instead of in the troughs there are no words !!

Definitely need more loos.. Everywhere..

More urinals specifically, and green police. People do shout at those peeing but some people don't want to queue. Seen it above John Peel tent, especially in Arcadia, near the front at West Holts ffs, but stewards don't want the aggro and what are they permitted to do?

Nothing.. At least the green police embarrassed people.. And it was fun to watch..

I do not always make it tent to loo - always have a bottle and sheepee at hand for that.

Trial bought some Peebol bags. That will need testing still. Fingers crossed it works - would be a life saver.

I swear by my Peebol bags! Variously known by my friends as 'human kitty litter' or 'jelly wees'. Luckily the top of the bag is very wide so forgiving enough for bleary-eyed usage.
And am going to have some + shewee in my car for traffic jams too.
