I was contemplating taking something like Heul or breakfast protein powder that has oats in. All you'd need to do is mix it with water and should provide a good start to the day.

Anyone done this before?

I do this. I take ground oats and mix with protein powder and psyllium husk and 500ml of water, and have a banana from somewhere. Gets your job done in the AM on the way in and the way out, so you're not bothered about that business later in the day. And it's hydrating.

I always have a breakfast bar on the morning when I wake up even though they're crap. It's generally important I get something in me as soon as possible after a night on the booze - and it's usually quite a long time between waking and ending up in and around the food stalls where I can grab a proper bite. Any recommendations on breakfast bars greatly appreciated, but I doubt there's any good ones in existence.

Also, is there a "canned crisp" as such, other than the dreadful Pringles?

Those delmonte fruit in syrup things are great to take away the stale beer mouth from the night before. Gives you just enough energy to make a move to the long drop , teeth brushed, comfort bottle emptied then a strong tea and a bacon roll smothered in brown sauce from a catering  van.

We’re taking a wee stove and doing breakfast wraps. Bacon brunch from Sainsbury’s. It’s a foil pouch of sliced potatoes with bacon thats ready cooked and just needs heated. I’ll chuck some eggs in them. We also plan on bringing frozen bacon and sausage in a cool bag for the first couple of days. Wraps stay fresh for ages so I always go with them for festivals

Man up, stick to Scottish traditions and chuck in a deep fried mars bar and a can of Carly super!

Sainsburys indeed!!!

Those protein powders aren't cheap.

The brekkie tacos in Williams Green for example are 4 quid. Theres similar elsewhere. Thats 20 quid for brekkie for 5 days.

Usually go to Strumpets as normally in West CV, but Williams Green will be closer to me this year. What's the stall called please?

One of the bonuses of working is the meal tickets. We get two for every shift we work which equals six tickets. I generally use these for breakfasts Wednesday - Monday.

Catering marquee just yards from my tent with a fry up and beverages. Not having to walk half a mile to spend £5+ for a bacon roll and cup of tea. Priceless.

One of the downsides of camping in Darble is a distinct lack of any decent food at all (that I am aware of anyway). The canteen, or cafe or whatever it is, is rank and the little coffee place at PGA always has a massive queue. As a result we always end up having to decamp early to get decent food. May have to rethink our camp location this year.

Whenever I’ve taken those on a flight, once I take them out to eat in the country I’ve flown to, I find they’ve compressed into a smaller, solid block- I don’t understand why!

I only used it on the Monday morning before catching the coach, couldn't get the taste of the grease out of my mouth all the way home. Rethink needed this year.

I just take the view that you're going to have to make a move out of your camping field towards the action sometime, so you might as well get breakfast on the way to where ever you're going.

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
