Best lineup in the last 10 years?

Recommended Posts

I think the lineup is alright. I mean, I'm not gonna marry it or anything but it'll provide a decent backing track to stumbling around the fields.

Killers are fucking great and have a solid selection of songs, The Cure are beloved and still kicking after 40 years with yet another great collection of tunes. Stormzy is the perfect "rising" star that really could deliver the goods.

Undercard is stacked with headliners of other festivals as well as rare performances for the UK such as Miley, Janet and Tame Impala

some of my favourite acts that I've seen that I wanna see again such as Vampire Weekend, Interpol and Two Door but also plenty that I've not had the chance to see  like Kurt Vile, Sharon Van Etten, Idles etc

Think it's baffling that people could take aim at this when the alternatives are so poor this year

Looks like it's my day for getting owned.

Don’t know about that. I gave you a lifeline by matching your Sigrid and raising  you with an Ezra. You got a werthers? It was haribos for me last night.

Anyway, best lineup was 2014. Carry on.

2014 best year for me, that Saturday undercard clash was a killer - Jack White / Manics / Goldfrapp / Pixies decision was hard!!!

The best headliners day across the site in recent memory is Sunday 2011....

Beyonce / QOTSA / Kool and the Gang / The Streets / Gruff Rhys

1995: The Prodigy, Oasis, Massive Attack.

A couple of the bands at the absolute cutting edge of their genres.

Plus Oasis.

That is Clashmageddon, and would all have been cracking sets

But it was pre-Fat of the Land, pre-Definitely Maybe and pre-Mezzanine... so there may have been less instant appeal at the time.

The Oasis set was between the release of Some Might Say and Roll With It.  And it wasn't good.

I imagine in was 90% of the set they would play until they called it a day.

And 50% of Liam's set this year.

The killers, two door cinema club and vampire weekend are in my opinion completely dull. Completely uninspiring.

Tame impala are also really dull.

...and the dozens of MOR indie landfill bands that ‘Glasto Chat’ seems to be desperate for will fill it out later, along with the lesser-known names, so it’s all good.

Tbf I don’t think that many are calling for indie landfill type acts as such, more heritage acts (be that rock or disco) and big dance acts.

That said I agree it will fill out and I think this will be a very strong undercard.

Would Mark Ronson and Arcade Fire do anything to help this lineup...bc those are your secret sets on Saturday...

Mark Ronson makes sense, but Arcade Fire have stopped touring everything now, would be insane if they popped back up for one glasto scret set

Headlining the Kidz field performing the Dumbo soundtrack?  Make it so.

So Arcade Fire turn up this year and do a secret set, which means they're booked as a headliner for 2020?

History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce

I don't mean this in an offensive way....but if you're really that bummed out about the lineup, there is still time to change your mind! Why don't you fuck Glastonbury off and go to Rock Werchter or something instead? Or Download maybe?

Nope.

Have you got a sideline in secret sets as well as poster drops now then? Impressive
