I’m pretty sure the less vulnerable are under 50/60s unless you have serious heath condition issues and if you did you’d be next in line. I think if you looked at the death rates or seriously ill covid rates between age 0 - age 49 I think they’d be fairly low.

My point was the festival attendee general age is of that stated and whether under 49s are fine or not, that isn't reflective majorly on that festival.

M8³

Amazing booking.

If they get M83 I think I’ll cry, don’t think you understand

Hurry Up We're Dreaming is 10 this year, and that is up there as one of my favourite albums. You’ve got my hopes up now

Right, it’s all a bit doom and gloom on here (rightly so but still), so if, in a hypothetical world Reading and Leeds can go ahead, but without bands from other countries:

a) who would you like to see replace Post Malone and QOTSA

b) who dyou think would be bought in to replace them (if anyone)

if I said got to choose I’d love to see Dave or Dua Lipa, and AM come in

Realistically I can see them added no one or bumping Capaldi up and Biffy for Queens

just a bit of fun

people like Biffy Clyro could be available. especially if download doesn't go ahead. otherwise I can see them playing it safe and booking Muse. The XX could also step up which would be a good band to see headline or co-headline. Other than that Royal blood could co headline at this point.

I was thinking Harry Styles potentially, instead of Post Malone

I thought Arctic Monkeys predominantly lived in America now, or at least some of the band and their extra live musicians did, so could theoretically have the same bother. Same with Muse and probably one or two others.

Think You me at Six have basically confirmed themselves 😁

Yay. They’ll have another album of terrible material to play.

I’ve got to say, for a band as devoid of anything even remotely interesting as YMAS, that new album is truly wretched. It’s like they’ve exclusively listened to Imagine Dragons from 6/7 years ago and Mania by Fall Out Boy (yes, it really is as bad as that sounds).

Haha it take it your not a You me At Six Fan then mate? The new album is huge though, pretty sure it's gonna top the album charts but of coarse that doesn't mean it's good. I do like Suckapunch off it. I love their old stuff anything from Sinners backwards so I'm happy it looks like they are gonna be playing to be honest.  Do you like any of their back catelogue?

Just seen that your right! It looks like it's Slam Dunk most likely, Andre you will be relieved lol

He won't be. He's all over Slam Dunk each year.

Still baffling they are appearing at the same gig as Feeder and Catfish for £40 in Swansea. That gig is going to get moved to especially given Wales restrictions. That much is obvious enough.

There’s no room for them on the SD lineup unless they either do a secret set or they do a separate gig on site like ADTR were scheduled to do.

I still enjoy early YMAS because I was there for it. Everything after SNS has just gotten gradually worse and worse, for me. They’ve always been vanilla (even the stuff I like, objectively) but even by their standards the new album is just so dull.

If they were to do R&L, I think they’d slot in nicely below Yungblud.

I had a feeling they would be the secret set last year at Slam Dunk so I think you maybe right, surely it's a bit too early to tease them as a secret set? Unless Sum 41 have pulled out and there being drafted in as headliner.

YMAS were scheduled to play a SUCKAPUNCH album release show at The Brundenell in Leeds on July 11th and Slam Dunk have just tweeted that the show has been upgraded to Stylus. It's a release show for their new album but they're also playing Hold Me Down in full. I guess SD are promoting it.

Be interesting if Leeds ends up being a British only artists if travel is banned but it can go ahead:

back to one main stage perhaps and then:

Disclosure/Catfish, Two Door, The Wombats

Liam G, Gerry C, Yungblud, Charli XCX, Neck Deep

Stormzy, Lewis C, AJ Tracey, Mabel

It would be doable

    • Iran firing missiles at Israel blaming Israel's continued breaking of ceasefire agreements with its bombing of Lebanon. Deal with that one Trump you d*ck.
    • Best of all is to get the tram, then call a taxi for very short not-rip-off ride once in the centre.
    • Would you decide to go once more I recommend to queu up at the ‘official’ freenow taxi line ( 5 min walk from the main gate). It might take 15 min or so but they are not ripping you off. Even at 3 or 4 in the night it costed us about 25eur to the city center.
    • How do you mean? Better as a hotel/ festival combo?   I've done rock am ring at both sites.....unpopular opinion I much preferred the mending site and really didn't like the long and narrow main stage at RaR.
    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
