Aye, you'd definitely want him to be playing fewer Beatles songs.

ha ha

i feel like once you have seen him, you've seen him . I know some people like to go to the same gig twice on a  tour. I am not one of them . I have seen him , that's enough for me.

i do think you have to see him , but once I've seen him, he is done

Would he get away with doing his xmas song in June? It is one of the better xmas tunes. Change "christmas" to "Glasto" and "Snow" to "rain" ??

Slade did theirs at the Reading Festival one time, but I digress

Sladest did "Here it is, Glas-ton-bury, everybody's having fun" at Avalon Cafe last year. Went down a storm.

Springsteen did Santa Claus Is Coming To Town in Manchester during the summer a couple years back, simply because someone in the audience had a banner requesting it.

So, we could do the same for McCartney...

I’m guessing by ‘his Christmas song’ we’re talking about the December charting We All Stand Together and not the one that sounds like a Cassio preset mode.

How dare you! wonderful christmas time is a classic! :D

I think anyone who has spent any time working in retail over the Christmas period has an almost Pavlovian urge to stab themselves in the lugholes with a coat hangar every time they hear that song.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
