And they were brilliant Don't get me wrong, they're a decent band but size wise you'd expect bigger as a first announcement going off the bands they've had at the top of the bill since it's started. Have they been confirmed as a headliner? Edited November 6, 2018 by DiscothequeDave

This'll be the Nationals first gig announced for 2019
activean
Well there are way worse options out there tbh, they are at least a decent band. On the other side I do not think of them as some massive headliner band.

Would seem strange for them not to coheadline, but if it’s as strong as last years maybe they could be sub/third down. scatteredscreens
Surprised really, I thought the SWB tour had finished. I definitely think they'll be playing Latitude

birchtree29
The National is a good band but I honestly think that the National is not a band that should be announced by three hints a week earlier. They have already attended Nos Alive, Primavera, Best Kept Secret, Lollapalooza Berlin and many more. I hope the hints continue today like last year so that we will learn 3 artists before the weekend.
diogozsz
Do y'all think Mad Cool will tease another announcement in 40 minutes? It's a bit odd they start hinting at another announcement only 2 hours after the first one.

birchtree29
According to Wikipedia these are the bands that are formed in 2002. I eliminated the ones that are not on tour or more towards pop like One Republic Editors The 1975 LCD Soundsystem Chromeo Grizzly Bear Razorlight Edited November 6, 2018 by birchtree29
