yeah, it's not aged well. Was rather mind-blowing when I first heard/saw it in 1997 tho.

While we're on the subject of 1997, this, I think, has aged rather well...

Nice of them to call on on the farm on that tour too! :)

Yep! I have such fond memories of that set as it was my first glastonbury and my first headliner- I remember arriving at the back just after they'd started and making my way down nearer the front through all the torch/flare things- good times!

‘More Blood, More Tracks’  This is the real stuff. Just fucking glorious.

Recently single Bob. My favourite Bob.

No need to read reviews. "Just fucking glorious" is spot on.

Too lazy to check. Is that take of Idiot Wind the same one as on Vols 1 to 3?

One of ‘em is, yeah, but the 6cd version has a load of different takes of it

Bootleg 1-3 is the single greatest Dylan release for me. ‘She’s your lover now’. What a song. What a fucking song. And he never bothered to record it properly and release it. Genuinely astonishing stuff

This is amazing, from his outfit (rocking Seinfeld’s puffy shirt 20 years before Seinfeld had thought of it), to the simplicity of the performance but the way Bob is always, unmistakably and uniquely Bob, to that strange, twisting vocal performance to the way the harmonica and fiddle blend together at the end. There’s really no-one else like Bobby D. A true original.
