What became of The Real Thing?

(Only kiddin' they are still going, I know that).

This reminds me of 70's fashion. I had, basically, the high waistband flares that he backing singer guy, on the left has on, I could only dream of the burgundy, velour dungarees the guy to his left has on , and I couldn't even dream of wearing the suit that Chris Amoo has on in this singing lead.

Quite Wonderful

Great Real Thing Documentary on tonight on BBC4. Check it out on iPlayer.

One of my favourite The Real Thing covers...

The Mighty Mary J. Blige, Children of the Ghetto

Love it. Love it. Sums up our relationship here really :)

Hello bamber,

Glad you like it. It's a song that was introduced to me by a very dear friend. Oddly enough, I hadn't listened to it for many many years (as in decades) before its existence suddenly  re-entered what is laughingly referred to as my mind, and I posted it here.

I wonder what else is in my mind that I simply can't remember? Maybe it's best that I don't try too hard or spend too much time thinking about that one.

As ever, I hope that you are happy and well. :)

Just popped up on my playlist and hadn't heard for a while....7 minutes of bliss 💓

Edit! Forgive me it's not that old (2017). I just got carried away

This should offset my previous indiscretion...💓

Minnie Riperton - Les Fleurs - 1970 (4Hero 2001 extended remix) 💓

Any and all previous indiscretions abated. This long version is epic and transcendental. Fuckin' love  Minnie Riperton forever.

Listen to that!

    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
    • But I think the point of that Dan Needle tax thing...we need to put up income tax, for all incomes (and thresholds should be unfrozen).
    • There are no easy answers...more than anything we need growth...and probably main ways of getting that is borrowing more to invest in stuff that makes us super sexy, and/or cut taxes on business and wealth generation which would mean less money to spend on public services and welfare and would obviously be super unpopular and get you chucked out of govt. On top of all that got an aging population, a growing welfare bill, a call for higher spending on defence, housing inequality, higher borrowing costs, and probably a load more sh*t on the way due to the Iran war (although so far it hasn't been that bad?)
    • A couple of OR's crew and band have posted Barcelona pics.   HYYPPPEEEEE
    • That's what I was thinking, but with GC ticket sales looking good atm, I cant imagine download would pull off a blink, avril, GC top 3... when has this forum ever pulled off a prediction like that anyway, it won't happen will it 😂
