Rosalia for Friday headline? Hard to gauge how big she is

Massive in Spain but hasn't really taken off here yet.   She hasn't really toured the UK yet so hard to gauge her popularity as you say but I don't think she'll be headlining at all.

Yes Lawn!

I assumed Friday was Lauryn Hill? Am I way off?

She seems too big and famous for WH, common wisdom is Pyramid Friday hip hop slot, which seems apt.

There has been a fair few disco or funk WH headliners in recent years. With grime on the pyramid and indyrock on the other you would have thought some Moroder electro-disco on WH would be a good balance?

My dream of Erykah Badu or Giorgio Moroder still lives.

Moroder is playing here in May. I was initially enthused, but all the reviews of this tour seem a bit ropey. Not bought tickets yet snd can’t decide what to do. 50 notes (x2) is a lot to spunk if it’s going to be mediocre

I really like some Staple Singers songs and have somehow only just realised that Mavis Staples was in the Staple Singers... Much more excited for that now. Would've seen her in 2015 if I'd have been thinking properly! Did anyone see her then and how was it?

I did. She was fabulous. Also check out her last album If All I Was Was Black it's really fantastic. Nearly 80 but still hugely inspiring.

Thanks! I think I saw that she's playing Sunday? Guessing same time as Kylie then maybe.

Really hope not. Given she played The Park last time I dunno if it's a certainty that she'll be on WH.

I was going to ask is she definitely on WH but assumed that someone had some information. I think she could easily be on The Park, WH or even The Pyramid a lot of people may hear her name and say who but I'm sure they'd recognise her songs when they heard them. Selfishly I'm hoping for a smaller stage with a more dedicated audience.

Could easily be lunchtime on the Pyramid.

Entirely possible between her track with Arcade Fire, Hozier and a new album since her last appearance she will be better known than last time among younger people.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
